Default How about a Palot Registry?

Just joined the Palot Club (thanks Arby!)! As soon as I get finished hooking it up and playing it, I'll post a serial.

Here it is in it's temp home.

Can't use a normal 6amp transformer for this baby. Worked fine till I got into a bonus and then kept shutting off. This Variac is 20 amps.

The above stand is my test single stand for a 3 machine unit with ball counter:

Fully automated full payout as close to the parlor as you can get without going there!

As far as I know this is the serial number:

All the references to this number on the back of the machine were cut/scratched out. It does have a couple of check dates on the back of 7/5/5. Can't get them much newer!

TJ, If I ever consider selling, I'll call you first! (we should all live so long!!)

That's interesting that it has the cell-phone scan code on the left side of the number; I wonder which site it leads to...Sankyo tech support?

What kind of phone does that work with? I've seen that on a lot of Japanese sites.

Do you really think this is the only model that's going to come out of this idea? To say they're going to be all gone is certainly suggesting they are not planning on making any different models and while I like this idea and would consider this as an option for the future, I would certainly rather have a different theme.

It's a commercial application that was developed for cell phones a couple of years ago in Japan. The technology uses the odd looking barcode you can see to the left of the S/N and the cameras on the cellphones. Basically, you'd have to open the application, scan the barcode, and it would send you to a website which the code was meant for. If you happen to buy and/or read Japanese magazines you will see them quite often.

I have seen them in the pachinko mags I get, but just wondered what it was, Thank you Fine Sir.

I guess that isn't something we'll see here any time soon. Will it work on 'US' phones (is the app readily available)? I see that alot in the Mobile section of Sankyo's website. I assume it is so you can get wallpapers and games for your phone.

I assume that it wouldn't work on US phones as it requires a scanning application that phones here don't have and I think people here would probably not like the idea. Yes, sometimes you can download fun stuff but usually it just directs you to their commercial site - companies who are not allowed to advertise on the cell phone's main search site use this technology a lot (porn sites, et al).
