Default Super Blackjack is Super and Then Some!!

I know I'm new to this forum as well as to Pachislo slots, but I know what I like, and I really like NET's Super Blackjack. Over the past month or so I've played a lot of Pachislo slot games because my boyfriend has been buying them to sell for Christmas around here locally. I've played Don Don King (which used to be my favorite), King Camel, Terminator, Beast Sapp, Nidaime Goemon, Animal King, Arra King, Ougonshin, Neo Planet, Rocky, Inoki, Hanabi Hayakei, and Dracula Returns. And withouit a doubt I like Super Blackjack the best.

I've come to the conclusion that it take more than just a big LCD screen or any one particular part to make a really great machine. It's like a great sports team - there has to be more than merely the sum of the individual parts. That's what makes Super Blackjack so exceptional. While the parts themselves are diverse, interesting, funny, teasing, etc., the totality of all of the parts together is even greater than the individual parts themselves.

Maybe the best way to describe it is like this: It's like getting Nitrous Oxide at the dentist. It doesn't stop the pain like novacaine does, but it makes you not really care about the pain. That's what Super Blackjack does. It doesn't stop the frustration of the losing and the teasing, but it does it in such a way that it makes it fun even losing. I just love playing the game, if that makes sense. (I know it's late, and sometimes my mind stops working before I realize it, but what I said makes sense to me.)

I did that before I posted here.

Here is a copy/paste of the review I posted in the Museum:

Oh, BABY - this is the BOMB. This is, without a doubt, the best machine I've ever played. From the minute I plugged it in it just kept pouring out surprises, bonuses, stock times, Black Jack games, great music, functional volume controls, crystal clear videos, non-stop action, etc. You name it, this machine's got it. If I could only have one machine, this would be it by a long shot! Thank you thank you thank you, NET. You scored a world series/super bowl/Gold Cup/Grand Slam/Masters/Triple Crown with this one. Wheeeeeeeeeeee! (Now, it's off to try to finish my most recent "Stock Time" before I have to go to sleep!!!)

He will if he knows what's good for him.
Actually, even before it arrived he said it was my machine, NFS (not for sale) because of all the ones we reviewed before getting any machines this was the one I thought would be the best. Honest. So now my b/f is getting a couple more S.B.J.'s from Big Bear. He's a sweetie pie!

I don't know. If you don't like the Spin Luck, I'd be afraid to tell you the SBJ was any good.

Yeah, but has she played the Spin Luck, yet? Welcome, pfurman!

(I did look at the title this time, just in case... )

Edit: you snuck in ahead of me there, pfurman!

Thanks, Slotter. No, I haven't played Spin Luck yet, so there's really no way I can compare. I listed the machines up top that I've played so far, and compared to them I like SBJ best.

SBJ is a good pachislo. Its very fun. I do not like the mushy stop buttons.
I wish the machine had a larger hopper, like Sinbad Adventure has.
My favorite is still Neo Magic Pulsar.

Welcome to the forums and enjoy!

Since you mentioned it, I was thinking about asking my b/f to remove the clear plastic piece that's screwed onto the top of the left side of the hopper (see attached) to allow more coins to fit in. I can't see what purpose that plastic piece serves, but I don't want to do anything that will mess up the machine. Do you happen to know if it's ok to remove it? I know I've seen other hoppers that don't have that, so I don't imagine it'd be a problem, but I would like to know for sure before removing it.

Also, my b/f removed the stop button assembly and cleaned it and lubricated the springs in each stop button and now they work better. I didn't find them to be mushy; they squeaked. Now they don't squeak any more, and they have a nice feel to me.

Welcome to the forum pfurman! You get all the info you need here I'm sure.
I found the same problem with my Super Blackjack. It wouldn't hold enough tokens so I covered the overflow hole inside and out with the handyman's best tool - Duck Tape. Overflow is not a problem as I only put in as many tokens as will fit but now quite a few more will fit.
I don't know what the plastic pc does either. You may be able to do without it.

Milt uses black duct tape to cover the overflow holes on his hoppers.

You should ba able to fit more in that way.

The clear plastic piece may be there to keep excess weight of to many tokens off the bottom hopper assembly.

Thanks, fhagar. I had been wondering about covering up that hole. At least this machine came with a plastic bin that fits alongside the hopper. But that doesn't address the number of tokens I can actually fit into the hopper itself, although I didn't find it to be a problem on this machine like you and Chaz70 did. I'd still like to try covering the open area on the right and see how that works.

Thanks, Lucky. That's good to know. I think I'll just leave it there, then, and just add the black duct tape to cover the hole.

I have a couple SBJ machines, one does not have the clear plastic cover in the hopper and one does have it. Both of my hoppers has the over flow hole taped off. So I would say take the clear cover off and enjoy the extra room for tokens.

Have you thought about going into picking up SBJ's "sequel", Rio De Carnival?
