about TV and our pachislos

Is it true that you must keep the pachislo far from the television ? If it's true, can somebody tell me why ?

maybe because if they are too close they will spend the rest of their day sitting on the couch watching soap operas and getting fat

Well Rupan, Panic Saurus has a point.. dont want to be giving any pachislos the wrong Idea... what happens if they are influenced.. there you are sleeping one night and you are suddenly awaken by the sound of reels spinning you look up but its too late the last thing you see is 3 sevens in a row. and its spewing tokens all over you.. and there they will find you the next day a lifeless corpse buried under a pile of tokens. I heard its happened before to some guy that i guy that i know knew who had a friend that had someone near him hear about a guy who had this happen to a friend..

Seriously, does somebody know why it can be harmful for pachislos if a TV is too close ? Perhaps because of the LCD ? Or for electronics ?

i have to doubt any damage can be done these machines have LCD's in them my tv is an LCD so that would sort of cross cancel

Agreed. I see no reason why they wouldn't play well together.
With the possible exception of "Plasma" screens. I'm not sure of the severity of the magnetic field produced by pachis.. can't be much (24volt transformer). Now that I think of it cancell that... The magnetic field in most people homes would be much greater.. and most people have their televisions inside their homes... my two cents

Sorry about the thread hijacking before, that's my specialty here.

I also further support that they shouldn't conflict with each other. Parlors in Japan usually have TV's fairly close to machines so patrons can watch sports and news. Some machine cabinets also have pull out TV monitors for the same purpose.
