    Default Pachinko Cabinet

After seeing Syph's newly designed cabinet it brought out the competitive side of me so I decided I'd redesign my V1.0 cabinet and release my limited edition V2.0. So after a few hours of thinking how i hated my last cabinet and how I want V2.0 to be new and improved I have came up with these CAD drawings. I will post pics and a how-to as I'm building this new V2.0 cabinet.

So here are the CAD drawings.

EDIT: PICS WONT ALLOW YOU TO ZOOM IN, BUT YOU CAN SEE THE MAIN IDEAS. HOPEFULLY ILL HAVE SOME PICS OF THE WORK IN PROGRESS IN THE NEXT FEW DAYS.

Have you built one of these yet? I wanna see pics of the 1.0 : )

Are these going to be hung on the wall or sitting on something?

What's going to happen in that bottom area?

What's with those rails? How are you going to attach them?

    Can I have a sandwich?

    questions questions!

I built my 1.0 as my first attempt and it turned out good, basic, but good but as soon as i was done with it and used it there were many features it lacked or things i didnt like about it.
This will be sitting on one of the stands that i have.
Bottom area im going to have a 2''x10''x20'' slide out tray.
What you think are rails are probably just the support brackets, my last stand was incredibly strong.

Winters starting to hit here in NY now and im no longer able to spend my days on the golf course so its time to hit the garage to work on stuff.

Yeah, rails, support brackets, tomato tohmatoh : ) If you're using the same kind of wood I was (and I'm using cheap as hell, slightly warped Lowe's white pine, 3/4"), you won't need the brackets on the top or the bottom, really, unless you're just doing glue. most of my shelves were held with at least three 2" #8 wood screws, pre-drilled with a countersink #8 bit, and they're super hardy.

This is just me throwing this out there, but what if you threw a small ramp behind the bottom support shelf and gave yourself a slot for your removable tray instead of putting the whole tray along the bottom (it would stick out instead of being flush with the case)? If your tolerances are close enough, your removable tray can also act as an extended drawer for grabbing balls during play. Removing things to get new balls is just not as fun, imho.
