    Default Value City Machines

I purchased six machines from Value City at discount prices since all of them had some problems.

I returned to find the store has six new ones and wanted to know opinions on these games so far as fun play, quality, etc. I may not have much time to decide since when they are gone they will get no more.

    The games are:
1-God Game (Gold finish). This is one I had already
2-Big Chance (colorful and mentions a "clown" on the bottom graphic)
    3-Seven Bar
    4-Dragon
    5-Juggler

Hope some of you are familiar with them. The store didn't even have any power nearby so they can be played. Looks like them come with only a small package of tokens, probably 200 of them and the price is $199.99.
    thanks,
    Sam

Sam I would advise you check out Gaku at www.bigbearpachisloshop.com
because you could pick up much nicer models at a lower price, and from a trusted vendor who backs his stuff up, his package deals are great. This is just my opinion but at least it's something to consider.

Is the Dragon Dice by chance? It would have 2 large moving dice up top.

200 is really quite high for these machines. Check out the specials at www.stealthhomeamusement.com

Don't I WISH! It is just plain old Dragon....I think from what people have said about price vs. quality, I will return all of these machines. Not one is working perfectly!

On the other hand, if you add shipping to machines from the two recommended vendors...won't you be back up to nearly Value City prices?

I checked my receipts and see that two machines were purchased for only $90.00, two were $119.00, one was $139.00 and one was $159.00. But only one really works perfectly and that one is missing a small piece of plastic trim that covers some lighted bulbs on the front cover.

Milt has specials for 89 + 55 shipping its 145 roughly give or take. But you have the satisfaction knowing that its coming from Milt and you dont have to worry about the machines being defective because theyre coming from Milt.

Best of those five in the gameplay category, IMO: Juggler.

I think you could do better with your money even if in the end you paid a bit more. I'd rather buy perfectly functioning machines with a warranty backed up by a solid vendor like Milt or Gaku.

I would go with Big Bear (Gaku) as I'm not really happy with the last pachislo I got from Stealth.

Probably my next machine will be a pachinko anyway.

Wow you hear that about as much as you hear Bush is a good president! I cant remember the last time I heard someone say they were unhappy with Stealth! What happened, and what did you buy?

    Davis,

I thought the same thing its a rarity that you hear any kind of negative against Stealth.

I'm not negative toward stealth. I'm just not happy with my last machine purchase, the details of wich I don't want to get in to at the moment.

I feel that if I was in the market for a new machine right now I would try Gaku based on the posts here by members of pachitalk. So, its what I recommend to Sam as well.

Well, I returned two machines to Value City and traded in two for new ones they had. It was not disheartening to find that only two of the six machines they had just gotten in for sale were working. One had no key, another had a non functioning hopper, and still another kept tilting. Of the two I bought, the stupid and clumsy stockboy dropped one and now I have a crooked door hinge to deal with.

I took your advice and got the Jogger. Also got the Dragon, which I left at my homebound mother's place. She is having so much fun with it that she wouldn't come up for air when we tried to talk to her!

I'm guessing the Dragon machine you got is Cyber Dragon? Which Juggler did you get? There are five or six machines in that series...

It simply reads "Dragon" on the lower front. The other one reads Juggler only with small letters that become larger in the center of the word.

Juggler = juggler[1].jpg I guess. That's the newest in the series. Not sure about Dragon...must be an older machine . Did you happen to catch the manufacturer? Sorry to seem so nosy but I like to know what machines other people have in the absence of not having any myself.
