    Question Fluorescent Bulb Reference

My bulb over the reel glass is out. The Bulb says "National FL 8D". I am sure this is a import bulb based on the other writing on it. Does anyone know what replacement bulb can be used? When looking for bulbs I see models such as T8, T10, T5 etc. The tube is about 12" long from tip to tip. It has 2 pins on each end.

    Thanks...

You want a common "F8T5CW" which is 12" long. These can be found in the sporting goods/flashlight section of most large stores. This particular lamp is very common in fluorescent camp lanterns and battery powered fluorescent flashlights.

Some hardware stores like Home Depot put them in with the other sizes of fluorescent tubes. BTW, the "CW" suffix on the tube number means "cool white" color of the light emitted.
