    Question Pachislo Cleaning tips

I love my new machine (King Camel) and play it way to much. There will be a time, sooner than later that I'll have clean the insides. Any tips on what to use and what to do would be appreacted.

    Cheers,
    James

Id' recommend window cleaner, the foaming type and just wipe off i just refurbished a machine and i used that and goof off for the real tough residue but use goof off lightly and try not to use it at all.

don't spray any of the circuitry with window cleaner, as it is water based.

actually, pcb's are often washed with water after manufacturing, but you have to make sure it's 100% dry before you power it up.

Q-tips (LOTS of Q-tips), lightly dampened rags and paper towels (nothing sprayed directly around the inside) and lots of time and love. Just work over every square millimeter. All my machines are so pristine they are cleaner than when the left the factory. For the outside plastic, use the the Novus polishing system if you have scratches. With effort, you can get the outside nearly like new, as well.

Yeah, I'm anal and proud of it.

I use a nice quality car wax on my exterior after I have cleaned it. Works great on all that plastic.

Be very careful when you clean the acrylic/plexiglass/lexan reel window. It can get hairline scratches easy with the wrong towel.

NEVER use a dremel to clean or buff the chrome unless you have it on very low speed. It only takes a second to melt the plastic or chrome.

Simple Green is great. It's what we use on the manufacturing floor to clean the machines and everything else for that matter. Seems to cut through just about anything.

Ill have to try that, goof off works on near everything but can damage plastics easily. Is simple green okay to use on plastics?

You might also try WD-40. It got the residue off my KC.
