So...there is clearly something wrong with me.

I read about these Pachislo machines one day and thought, "What a great Christmas gift one of these would make for my wife"

So I started looking around trying to find out how much they cost and what I should buy. I landed at ebay and saw that there were a great many for sale. I bid on, and won a Tekken.

At this point, I thought my mission was complete until I noticed that this particular vendor had a shipping special, buy three and only pay $49 each for shipping. With an additional investment of ~$300 I could save $90. Surely this worth it I thought to myself. So I not so patiently tried to win two more.

In what seemed liked no time at all I had also won a Time Park and a Neo Magic Pulsar. NOW, I thought, everything must be right with the world. But alas, it was not so.

It was around this time that I discovered this site and began to do even more research. At which point I realized there was actually some other machines that looked quite interesting. I also discovered that there was a reputable pachislo vendor a mere 3 1/2 hour drive from where I lived. Surely, throught I, this was a sign from above that I should buy more machines. After some brief correspondance with the vendor in question, I set out, my wish list in hand.

This was how I arrived at Big Bear Pachislo Shop never having actually seen or played one of these machines. There I met an wonderful fellow by the name of Gaku who invited me to play some of his most excellent pachislo machines. After he provided me with a brief introduction on machine operation, I decided to sit down and play for a couple of minutes.

Nearly three hours later I left with my small SUV loaded up with a Sindbad Adventure, a Kaze no Yojimbo(George K.), an Osaru no Gokuu(Monkey Magic) and a King of King Pulsar.

So, I now have possesion of four machines with three more on the way and I think there may be something very wrong with me. Given this, I have a few questions for the knowledgable folks here.

1. What is wrong with me?
2. How were my choices? Are any of these bad machines?
3. How bad does it suck that I have to wait until Christmas to play with them?
4. Aren't these things supposed to start multiplying AFTER you bring them home?
5. How am I going to fit 7 machines in spot 38" wide?
6. What is the appropriate height for a stand?
7. What kind of inexpensive stand or table do you recommend?
8. What is wrong with me?

8. What is wrong with me? This question is not applicable until you own 30 machines or more at one time.

Dalto, I just don't see a problem here.

As RKnarr mentioned, lots of folks here use those Wal Mart TV/VCR stands. Like you, I'm in the early stages of the hobby too and wasn't sure about stands. My wife and I bought a couple of those old, wooden, printer stands from the early days of heavy dot matrix/laser printers. 30" high. Got them from the local Goodwill store for $7.50 each.

I can only speak about the one machine you bought that we also have, Sinbad Adventure. Great LCD, fun video, and nice sound. After many hours of playing it, we are still discovering new animations and it hasn't lost any of its initial appeal.

Welcome to Pachitalk! I'm very new to this "hobby" too! In just a couple months I find myself with 3 pachislo machines and a pachinko too!

These things are very addictive. Even though they are all slot machines, you
will find that each machine has its own appeal.

Don't be shy about asking questions. The people here have a lot of experience and are very helpful.

First off, welcome to the board, Dalto!
Secondly, and most importantly, there is nothing wrong with you! Normal reaction to these machines. Remember, they are orphans and need a good home.
Very good choices. Oh, and there is no such thing as a 'bad' pachislo! Just some that aren't quite as much fun as others.
Last bit of advice, get lots of tokens!

well your theory is correct even though it is only applicable if thought through a male brain.

female brains tend to process things different... (as you probably know already)

something along the lines of instead of sending me on a trip for a week or buying me jewlery, shoes, a mink, a new car, a insert favorite shiny thing here you went out and bought me slot machines???? dalto's sleeping on the couch for a week... (if he is lucky) I am kidding of course stuff like this never really happens.. so you'll be fine.. she will truly love them...
