Check out this auctiona and pay close attention to the animated gif beside the machine. As it's cycling through it says, "Where low prices come first and service comes second." At least they aren't trying to mislead us about their service. lol

Later in the ad it even says, "Caveat Emptor, all items sold as-is." Doesn't this whole thing just engender trust?

They dont want your trust cmk, they just want your dosh!

Unbelievable! The seller has over TWELVE THOUSAND negs against him in the last 12 months alone! Im not sure what to make of this - "Caveat Emptor" may be all very good and acceptable but it also highlights the sort of things that ebay allow some or their sellers to get away with.... the use of these two little words imply that the seller has NO formal responsibility to fix or refund against ANYTHING they sell. Good huh?

I would stick to another Latin phrase in this instance... The opposite of Caveat emptor is Caveat venditor or Caveat vendor, meaning "let the seller beware." (Wikipedia) Sooner or later, ebay need to stop allowing people to sell in this fashion if they want to maintain the trust of their customer base.

Something comes to mind that my very very wise Grandfather used to say when I was a boy... "You can polish a turd as hard as you like but at the end of the day, a turd is still a turd!" This vendor ADMITS to selling turds, and still people buy em - genius or git?!? YOU decide!!!

Along with those 12,000 negs they have over 200,000 positives. Not that any negs are good ones but they must be delivering something to someone.

They are not miss leading the buyer in any way they look to be quite honest unlike a few sellers selling bootleg DVDs & the like

you pays your money & takes your choice with them, but at least they don't make false promises

I have been quite lucky with ebay dealings so far but I do my homework before buying

I browse their stuff on occaision. I bought several things from them last month. They start all of their auctions at $0.99, and there is never a reserve. Their Phoenix warehouse is local to me, so I only have to pay the $1.75 local pick-up fee.
As an experienced buyer, I can add a few observations
    1) they are generally honest, they make no bones about how they run their business
    2) the items I've bought have been at least as nice as described in the auctions
    3) most of the negatives are from buyers who DID NOT READ THE AD! They got in a buying frenzy and bid on something clearly advertised as broken junk, then complain because the item is broken junk.
    4) local pick-up is CRAZY. Only an adventurous spirit or a fool would do it again
The last batch of stuff I bought included
two 24x48 sheets of clad aluminum for $6
a brand new Dell USB keyboard for $1
    A HH Pachislo for $16
    a USB web-cam for $8
a wireless security camera for $25
the newest Harry Potter book on tape (new) for $15
All the stuff was as advertised. worked great except for the Pachi
I assumed the Pachi would be trashed. It turned out to be in very good shape physically, but DGI had harvested some parts from it before they sent it to Bargainland. It may become a parts machine, but I'm only out $16
BTW, as described in their policies, you can get a refund at the drop of a hat, even if just for buyers remorse.
I don't think Bargainland sucks, but stupid buyers leave them lots of negative feedback, most of it undeserved.

I have been wondering about them.I see that sniping their auctions could be very interesting.

If you get a chance could you pm me what the local pickup is all about?

And thanks for posting your first hand observation!
