    Default Godzilla Pachinko

I thought I would share these with other pachinko fans.
Four pictures of the Godzilla play area.

Great pictures, thanks. The red and gold color scheme is very nice.

Rupan, any chance you can tell me what the PASS pocket on the right side does?

I see that the GO pocket lights up up to four LEDs on the top. I think someone explained that it lets the jaws open on the center pocket. That seems to be very random though as to when they open.

The PASS pocket I just don't see does anything that I can tell.

    Thanks.

It should have the same effect as the "go" pocket: when a ball passes through, it should start a sub-roulette (located on the top left of the LCD screen), if it stops at a picture of mothra zu_mothra[1].gif, the start flippers will open up.

According to specs, during normal play there is a 15% chance of this occuring and the flipper opens up once for 0.3 seconds, during bonus stages, it's 50% and opens 3 times for 1.9 seconds each time.

Thanks! So, does the machine save up all the times the ball goes through these pockets? It seems like that picture of mothra is always on the screen. Is the machine working off all the saved up times it went in the pocket? I know that mothra symbol keeps working and the jaws will open and close for what seems up to 10 minutes after your done playing.

I wonder why then the GO pocket lights up LEDS and the PASS pocket doesnt. I'll have to open the glass and drop some balls in the PASS pocket to see what happens with that sub-roulette.

I think that it saves up to four spins, just like the main reel spin save does; it's not infinite, I know what. During regular play the roulette takes a long time to cycle once; maybe about two minutes or so but, during bonus and chance stages, it should be fairly quick--maybe 10 seconds or so.

I assume that the PASS pocket doesn't light up because the probability of getting a ball in it is kind of low - most players play to the left so items on the right side don't get hit as often. Not sure really though. Post the results of your test; I'd like to know too.

The PASS pocket on the right does nothing. I think it is meant to do nothing. Looking in the pocket there is nothing as far as a sensor or whatever. Its just a plastic chute. Very different from the GO pocket on the left. The GO pocket is round inside and looks like a white little sensor thing is there to detect balls going through.

And you are right. The GO pocket starts the Mothra blinking for about a full minute. When its done the jaws open and close very fast. On my machine it has never not stopped on the mothra. So, the jaws always open after a minute from getting a ball in the GO pocket.

Thanks Rupan! I now understand my pachinko better.

I guess that's just a dummy chute then for cosmetic purposes. It's always kind of funny to see what kinds of things they will leave in the playfield solely for throwback purposes. Not sure why the start claw opens all the time; the probability of that happening in real play is almost nil.

    Anyway, you're welcome.
