    Default Starwars help needed

Iam new to pachinko's and need help with my starwars machine.

On the back of the machine, there is a BALL FLOW STOPPER, i take it that the ball stopper must be in the UP possition, to let balls to flow from the top?

Just down from the ball flow stopper is a white knob, in the clockwise position, a ball will flow from the top to the bottom. turn it anti clockwise and the balls will stop.

with the machine on, if i go to fill the machine up, the balls that i put in get ejeted, back to the shooting tray, this does not seem right.

any help will be most grateful

I would like the opinion of the forum.
I have recently sold a starwars machine which once arrived plays fine except on fever mode.
It comes up with a 'power system failure' message.
I have checked with a pachinko engineer in Japan. He tells me that starwars is common for this error if a ball touches the sensor in the main fever window.

I have run my remaining machine here and it does the same thing on fever.
I can also get it to do the same thing if I jam a duster into the payout to force the blockage.

    My question is ....
Is this common to any other starwars owners? Is there any simple mod that can remove this 'error'.

(Whilst on to my engineer contact he also told me that if the room where starwars is stored is unheated the lcd will take a while to warm up and will remain black a while, is it starwars which suffers with this most. This was useful to know as the next day a customer was worried he had a problem, instantly resolved, and he was delighted.)

    Thanks.

    Nik

I've had them purpose made, the engineer who designed them ran all my machines to check the power draw. They are 24v ac and from memory up to 80 watts.

I am not that technical when it comes to electrical specs but he was confident that both the supplies I have are more than enough.

Is this something you have seen before?

I have not seen this error on Star Wars. I have had a few in and out of my hands.
The cold LCD is true to all LCDs pachinko, computer, slot, TV, the nature of the beast.

I am putting a 6 amp Transformer and fully ground system (three prung plug)

When you load the ball track to where it backs up, it will error out, that is what it is to do.

    Thanks Arby,
Could you do me the favour of blocking it and seeing if you get the same Power error message. I want to try and solve the problem but it is hard to trace as you need to wait for the fever before you can be sure! As and when you get the chance, I am running out of ideas to solve it this end. I will try and get a more powerful power supply and see how that goes.

    Thanks

80 watts sounds a bit weak.
That's only a bit over 3 Amps for 24 Volts.

When a fever gets going, there's a lot of things happening to draw that current.

I'll go back to my power designer and ask him to review it, as I say that side is not my strong point, hence why I get others to design.
Thanks. So 6 amp is what you base on?
    Thanks,

I will try your blocking, but I think you need to go Bigger on the transformer, I have seen errors on slots with under size transformer.

Whip a 6 amp one on and try it.

all these new Pachinkos I put in a 6 amp.

On the 20" LCDs Pachinko I put in a 8 amp (might be over kill on this one, but better than not enought)

Cheers chaps. I was beginning to think it was the machine until I managed to get it on my unit.
If it blocked I got the japanese lady telling me it is blocked and also a door bell. Then after a while it then goes to the power fail message for a couple of seonds.
As I say the engineer in Japan said that this error comes up if ever a ball sits in the payout sensor in the fever slot.

By the way Arby I am the proud owner of a pachinko parlour managers set of pin bending tools. Made by Sankyo. Is this as rare as I think it is? Not seen any on ebay before. Shall I retire now on the sale of them and buy a place by the coast?!?

Rare here, but not on yahoo Japan.
I have a number of sets going to put them to good use as Christmas Gifts.

I would think they wouldn't be too difficult to find on YJ Auctions unless you have a special platinum and diamond encrusted set but, if that's the case, don't forget to bring me.

OK... yes... I get the door bell with the Japanese lady when the bottom (overflow) tray is full. But I've never let it get so full that it would cause an error. I usually empty it when I hear that.

BTW... Just P... Being from the UK... have you heard from Dazzyman recently?
Haven't seen him on the forum for around a month now.
Hope he is OK. Thinking of him.
