i have a bad habit of taking things apart. i was thinking about getting a realy cheap slot to pick apart. i saw some go for real cheap from these folks - Bargainland-Liquidation.
has anyone delt with them?

i just got in no. 4 ; 3 slots & a pinball. so it's not about the money! i hate to take a good one apart . after 30 years in electronics , the one thing i know is "if it ain't broke don't fix it!"
now the idea of bringing a poor ,broken ,helpless , machine back to life , fills me with warmth . OK and being able to tell everybody at the next party "that i got it for 5 bucks"
i may yet get my chance !
after what UPS does to them! one of mine had all the reals knocked out. and another had a board and 2 harnesses unpluged.

it's not where the machine came from, as every one has been packed well. it's the way it is handled getting here.
some times they will drop off out at the gate . rather than come back around the next day. i'm out in the woods, but this is a state Highway. so far i've never lost anything!

Yep, I am always waiting for the truck to arrive. I have seen FedEx People Slam them down on their backs before, almost kicked one guys ass for doing so. I now personally remove any machines with my own 2 wheeler. Mike : )

Just the part of the country you're in I guess. My Fed-Ex guy is great. Takes the utmost care of my stuff and even calls me to see if he can leave it on the porch if I'm not home. Now that's service.

UPS, they ususally do a drive by and drop it off at 25mph.

I have found that Fed-Ex seems to take more care with deliveries to residential than they are with ones to businesses. I had my very first machine delivered to my work and it got damaged. Since I have had them delivered to my home and no issues so far.

Where I live (small town service) both Fedex and UPS treat the deliveries perfectly. In 15 years of living here, and getting a LOT of deliveries (appx 3 weekly), everything, without exception, has been delivered with zero damage -- even to the box.

I watched Fedex drop my Baseball pachislo from the back of the truck and it actually bounced. It still works great. I have to believe that Stealth is doing something right in the packing!
