    Default Pachinko Battle Counter

I finally got around to hooking this up to my Neo Powerful Fever and it's a nice extra.

Although mine is a Carnival2 I don't think there is much difference.
Made a small page about what it does and how to connect here: http://www.gibisans.com/Pachinko_Battle_Counter.html

The unit requires 24VAC which you can get from your machine's power supply.

Isn't anyone else going to get into this parlor stuff or am I the only one?

Also, as always, looking for translations (who isn't!) of some of the connectors shown on that page.

I'm sure once we all know what this will actually do and we get those translations, more will jump on the band wagon. I'm afraid though from what I've seen it's not going to give you balls won vs balls shot which is what cyclic really needs.

I wish these machines were capable of that.
But it does keep track of how many times you hit the start pocket and how many bonuses you have won. Also more flashy lights and that extra bit of the Pachinko Parlor Experience!

    Thanks for posting that, compirate!
I've got one of those (through Arby... who else? ), and this will be nice to keep with the unit. Neat flashing lights and stats.

It is too bad that they won't count payouts for cyclic machines.
That's truly the missing link that would surely turn the corner for those machines, IMHO.

I wonder if something like that even exists.
Maybe in Japan, since that's where cyclic has been the most popular for home play.

Yeah, that's where I got mine, from whence all good things come!

There is a connector on the back that indicates payouts but only if the payout mechanism is running. I would guess you would need to intercept the signals from all the payout pockets, which would have to be interpreted as to their value (3,5,10,15 on Neo Powerful) and a count would have to be totalized. Then a ball sensor has to be placed somewhere on the ball feed. There is a small sliver of metal on the ball race as the ball enters the playfield that prevents the ball from going back down the track. I wonder if a counter could be connected to the outer race and this sliver and count balls played?
A little complicated to add all those wins and subtract plays, all in real time though.

    Did someone ask for translations?

    CN1- Upper start pocket hit
CN2 - Lower start pocket hit
    CN3 - 'chance'? pocket
    CN4- - Bonus hit
    CN5 ?
    CN6 ?
    CN7 ?
    CN8 ?
    CN1-Starting Gate #1
    CN2-Starting Gate #2
    CN3-Handle turn/crank setting #1
    CN4-Bonus #1
    CN5-Bonus #2
    CN6-Bonus #3
    CN7-Handle turn/crank setting #2
    CN8-Playfield Gadget setting

    CN1- Bonus hits
    CN2 - Definate Change (?)
    CN3 - Start pocket hits
    CN1 - Bonus
    CN2 - Big Bonus
    CN3 - Start Gate

I assume these are all counters.

    Don't know about CN2 yet.
Try CN6. Based on your description, it seems the most logical...or not?

Maybe your pachinko can phone home? My card reader and Ball loan unit have similar connectors
on them but haven't tried hooking them up. They are old school units and this is a new Pachinko and I am
not sure they are for the same thing.
Not 100% sure but I think that's the connection for an old ball loan counter..again

I've never seen such a counter in parlors though I suppose it's possible to make one...? You guys would know more about this side of things more than me.

How about this? (i'm not sure about this though. sorry.)
if CN2-CN5(green wire) doesn't work correctly, try CN2-CN6.
    wire.jpg
i wrote about a number to the upper left of the pass thru pocket at past thread.

i think you are right about '77', but i don't know correct answer.

    --------------------

'Pass through pocket' opens the tulip for a fraction of a second after win the drawing (this takes about 10 to 30 seconds at normal play)
While at 'Kakuhen' (this is after BigBonus) and 'Jitan' (this is 100 games after Bonus), the drawing of 'Pass through pocket' is shortened
and time which the tulip being opened is lengthened (and probably opened 2 times?). this causes that player can win next bonus without balls (which player won) decreased.

Thanks for this. The Blue wire in your picture has to connect to CN1/CN2 (Have to add an extra plug for this connection, this way it counts starts from both start pockets).
If just the yellow lights (lower outside corners) flash, what does it mean?
I did get one bonus right after another once and the consecutive bonus counter did say '1'. This must be a very rare occurance. I can't imagine getting more than 1.

i think StartNumber is increased when the spinning is done if 'blue wire' connected like my pic. if not, i just apologize for this.

    yellowlights.jpg
'yellow lights' flash whenever payout occurs. i think most machine have this kind of light.

CRF Neo Powerful SF's probability is 1/399.6 at normal game.
the probability will be changed to 1/40.0 after BigBonus ends.
so you can easily win next bonus after BigBonus.
games at raised probability are called 'Kakuhen'.
if you win bonus (no matter Big or Normal) while 'Kakuhen', consecutive bonus counter is increased.

CRF Neo Powerful has complicated LCD and i cant explain that with my poor english.
but you can easily distinguish BigBonus or NormalBonus by watch the digit.

Thanks for this information, explains a lot!.
The yellow lights I meant were the ones on the battle counter (lower outside corners).

No apologies are necessary here! Connector CN3 has it's event when a ball passes thru the pocket just below the digit ( in your pic), Connector CN1 - CN2 are for the start pockets. Older machines have only 1 connector for both but Sankyo decided it needed 2, need to get a modern battle counter and see what the extra counting is for!

And you English is great. Wish I could do as well with Japanese!
