2 metal Prongs at back of machine - Will I get an electric shock if I touch them?

At the back of the over flow token tray there are 2 metal prongs that detect if the tokens in the over flow tray are to high, does electric go though these prongs? I was just wondering in case I acidently touched them?

It means theres no voltage present to shock you. Imagine for a moment if they did put voltage through there, all those tokens would then have voltage on them and someone reaching in would be in for a hair raising experience.

Just means when the tokens touch the prongs, it completes a circuit. Not enough power to harm a fly.

Oo-er... I never even noticed these... Is that what the 'OF' code means when my Thunderbirds has a mental fit after a particularly long fever mode and Ive got tokens being spat everywhere?!?

If they are filling up a tray next to your hopper and coming into contact with the two pieces of metal, yes. You can always lay a screwdriver blade across the two prongs to simulate the error and see. Some of those prongs while still installed on the machines are not hooked up.

Thanks Tulsa, I think I misread the original question by Adam - doh! I only get that code at the end of a fever mode when the front tray is full of tokens; the machine pays out the 50 credits, displays 'oF' and plays a very forlorn piece of music - all I have to do is empty the tray a bit and perform a key reset to shut it up. Its not really a biggie, it just bugs me coz I dont understand why it does it!

Is the hopper out of tokens when this happens? Just filling the front payout tray with tokens should do nothing paritcular at all.

Hmmm, the hopper doesnt LOOK all that low but I will throw another 1000 tokens at the machine, play it endlessly until it fevers again & see what happens! Ta lots.
