Converting games to take Pachi tokens.

This is kind of off topic, hopefully this is the right forum for this question. I have 4 pachislo machines that are in a line with a video poker and a Megatouch machine. Does anyone know what I need to do to make the other machines accept the pachislo tokens? They both currently work on quarters. Thanks for any help.

After seeing what kind of hoops those coins have to jump through to be validated, as far as weight, size, thickness, etc., I'm not sure its too possible. Or easily done rather. Of course I saw this on a discovery show or something. The coin mechs in Pachi's are actually rather simple. There may be a spot inside where you place a coin or token so the machine knows what to accept, but thats fairly old school compared to validators today.

From experience you should simply replace the coin mech in the two machines with new mechs from here.

This link will show you different brands for around $20 each. Check with them the size needed but I'm sure you should be using .984" token Coin Mech, (please forgive me if I'm wrong). You can buy coin mechs that will accept both quarters and tokens, incase you wanted to revert back to using money without operating on your machines again.

I do hope this information helps your situation. Used mechs also appear on ebay. ( I threw away about 10 last year becuase I converted old arcade machine from US quarters/tokens to british coins.
