Default New Yellow Cab will not shoot balls, HELP!!!

Just recieved my new yellow cab machine from Texas Auctions and I cannot get the ball shooter to work, I followed all the setup instructions from pachitalk and the vendor and the ball shooter will not work, the ball dump works and My friend and I checked everything we could for two hours opening the machine up and checking for blockages. also when the machine turns on no music or sounds are heard except when you push the chance button it says yummy. I checked the volume control and that works fine for the yummy sound but no other noise comes out. the lights and led seem to be fine, PLEASE HELP!!! Thanks I appreciate the help pachitalk members run the most helpful message board I have ever seen. Andrew

Open the glass door and drop a ball in the center pocket. This should start the video reels spinning and the light and the music to start. This will at least verify if these are functioning.

Also look on the back of your and see if you see a 25 pin connector plugged into a started 25 female socket. Some don't require this but most seem to and without it in place it will prevent the machine from shooting. If you have one, make sure it's seated properly. If there isn't one, check the box thoroughly to see if it may have fallen off.

Are your fingers making contact with the metal ring behind the shoter knob?

Thanks for the quick help people Here's an update. I dropped a ball into the center hole and it spun the reels and music played for a few seconds. there is no metal band on the ball shooter it's all plastic with a tab at the 7 'oclock position. I checked the back which does not look like the above picture. and all of the connections look secure (first pachinko so I am no expert) on the lower right as you face the machine under the three red lights there is what looks like the male end on a pin connector but I can't see what it would connect to. and we searched the packaging several times and there is nothing else to unpack. Thanks again for the help

The tab at seven oclock is the single shot button I'm sure. No metal band? This is a first for me? You see, your body creates a ground by touching the band and allows the shooter to shoot, in theory, requiring a hand to be on the shooter to work the pachinko.

Arby, does your Yellow Cab have a matal band?

My ball shooter is a black handle with three red grips that rotate to the right a small grey band to the front of the red grips, then a tab at the sevon o'clock position.

The grey band is the touch sensor.

The 25-pin connector on the machine looks like a computer parallel port connector (25-pin female).

Ok if the grey band is the touch sensor, where should the metal band be? and is the computer parrell port sussposed to be connected to something? I am becoming more and more confused and angry at texas auctions

The grey band is the only touch sensor. When the knob is turned and at least one of you fingers is touching this grey band it should shoot. It's chrome plastic on some machines, a grey band on others. A hooded grey (or other color) connector like in the above pic should be connected to it. I would write a PM to Arbycoffee and see what he says. This was among his first machines.

The dongle is connected to the 25 pin male outlet. some machines use it, some don't.

I found mine jammed up in another part of the machine, It had fallen out in shipping.

Some people have found them in the bottom of the box.

Have you checked all your other connections too???

Well he may not have a dongle too. The one machine I received from TA didn't have a dongle. So keep this in mind.

Stupid question time, you did put balls in the top ball try, right?

Yes I loaded about 275 of the 400 balls in the top feed tray, I searched the packaging several times and there is nothing else. the connections are all good as far as I can see. It seems to work fine except the balls will not shoot. the ball dump lever works also. What else could be wrong?? Thanks everyone for your help. Andrew

Could it possibly be a fuse blown????

It usually is something very simple, all we have to do is figure out what it is.

I do not have a digital camera unfortunately, also it appears the front section opens in three pieces I can open the top two but not the bottom section where the ball shooter is housed. how would I check the fuses? it lights up and everything appears to work expect for the ball shooter which does nothing. You guys are the best, hopefully I will become more proficent and be able to help others in the future but this my first pachinko and I am really confused

Ok, I have balls in that tray ( have all along )and when I open the front of the machine it shows the latch that opens that section of the front. it looks like the latch holds back the balls and in the machine itself there is a small plastic case just to the left over the ball shooter that has a square opening with a ball inside.
