Quite a few new ones have come in. The LCD's got huge but still the Git's are the most playable out there. We've embraced pachinko heavily now too. Arby has become out quintessential guru on pachinkos. He started importing them himself. Now he gets all the best stuff. Arby and Davis are moderators here and Lew, he's still Lew. He took the role of our advertising exec and drops our links wherever his surfboard takes him.

So are you back now for a bit or just slumming?

Are you sure we are originals, and not jut clever copies? You know anything is possible with todays technology.

Is there a list of all of us that were on the first site? To compare to who jumped that burning ship to come to this much better site. I don't remember now what number I was there, I was the # 17 to be invited here. It would be nice to see who is still here from the original.

OH and Denbo, I was anti pachinko, I think I was one of the last hold outs. Buuuut these little steel ball machines are really cool! You gotta have at least one! (I have 2 newer ones, Thunderzone and Star Wars, and I got my dad one of the more simpler mid 90's models) As with pachislo pick one with a theme you like and you won't be disappointed.

On the other hand.... I'm one of the few here who find modern pachinko one of the most boring things ever. You turn the knob, making minor adjustments until the majority of balls go in the start pocket, then sit there. And sit there. And sit there. Little balls flying in the start pocket; reels spinning; nothing much happening. Once in a blue moon the reel spin (or other sub-game depending on which machine you're playing) will hit something and a big trap door opens and catches most of the balls you shoot.

The whole time you're just sitting there holding the handle mindlessly watching balls fly out a little quicker than one per second. And the cyclics seem to be worse. You don't even have the joy of refilling ball containers and having to find the 'sweet spot' on the shooting knob again

Just not for me. I even followed advice and tried a few different ones. All the same. Sit there holding the handle and watching the balls.

Now VINTAGE pachinko; THAT is another story.

*sits back and tries to duck the hits from the pachinko folks*

    cmk
7 Pachislos, 1 vintage Pachinko; ask about 'em.
