Congratulations! ArraKing is a fine machine. But one note of warning, get volume controls!

What am I missing here? I just got Arra King from Demos777, with custom volume controls (definitely recommended). The machine is absolutely GORGEOUS! It's unique looking; a delight to the eyes; nice, exotic sound. But MAN....the ONLY thing I keep getting - OVER AND OVER AND OVER - are replays and BELLS! I swear...if I see one more 3 BELLS I'm gonna shoot the thing. I did a total reset. Did eventually get to hit a big bonus. Then nothing but a steady diet of BELLS and REPLAYS! Not even 3 oranges for 10 credits. Not once in hundreds and hundreds of plays. What is going on here? I am hating a machine I think should be so great to play. Is it possible something is wrong with this particular machine? HELP!!!!

mine is about the same. i have it set to the best odds, and it will pay about 1/2 as many times as my Time Park. last night it hit big the first time in long time.
1ST it gave me all 2's, then went into an other mode. and started to pay a lot. after about 50 play's it hit big. the hole time the 2's never went away.
i like this better than the Time Park , with it you put 500 in and BINGO you get 'em back. i do like the video on the time park . with out it ,this would be a lame machine.

Well I don't know what setting you guys are using, but if you set it to 3 or 4 you might like it better!

What does the pocket do at the top of the machine ? It is advertised as a combo Pachinko and Pachislo, but the top thing has never done anything on mime.

It's a yokoku prop that, randomly when you hit the start lever, a pachinko ball drops into the pocket and starts a roulette (the LED displays to the right and left of that zone), if you get all matching numbers, you get an automatic BB.

    If I recall correctly...

I'm using 6. How would 3 or 4 be better, please?

The setting determines the probability of events (particularly bonuses) of occuring. 6 sets the machine at a very high level. Check out this page; it's in Japanese but look at the center box with the numbers in it. It displays the data settings from right to left: setting number, odds of a big bonus, and payout odds.

OK, thanks. (And thanks to you too, Luckydog). I was just going by what I'd read at Big Bear's site, which was basically to set the machines for home/entertainment use at 6 to get the most payoffs, etc. Maybe I misunderstood or something.

    You're welcome.

I think it really depends on your play taste: if your friends come over and you want to show off the machine, maybe set at 6 for fun but if you want to sit down for more of a challenge and see what makes the game tick, set it at 1.

Well, the balls are part of the gimmick of the machine so I would say so. Are there none loaded in the machine?

Also, one more note about odds regarding this machine: this is a hybridized pachislo/areppachi (areppachi is a subgenre of pachinko) machine and thus has much lower odds than a typical pachislo machine because of this. This type of machine is designed for more even chance of wins (but just high enough as to not make it too easy) but at lower payout rates so keep in mind that you are playing something that is, spec-wise, very different from your average pachislo machine.

Does that mean it doesn't have to conform to whatever standards regulate pachislos? (Types A, B, C, etc.)

This machine appears to be classified as a Type B, so I guess not. I assume the difference is in how it handles payouts.

Thanks for the info. All I really know is that this machine absolutely bores me to tears.

The only thing that I noticed about this machine that is even remotely interesting is trying to stop the 3 numbers that scroll constantly on both left & right LED screens so that they're all the same number. Is this the way that this particular machine is supposed to be played? At least it's a challenge to try to do that. Otherwise, I totally don't get the point of this machine.

Well don't feel bad about not liking one. I have a passion for my dislike of the K1-Punch Rush. Absolutely pointless machine.
