Default Flat metal electrical contacts on back of machine?

I searched but did not find this discussed anywhere -- my Kyojin no Hoshi machine has two bolts about 5cm apart on the back of the machine. These bolts are connected to two wires that lead back into the power supply. Presumably they are electrical contacts for something and I assume that they have something do do with the machine's operation in a parlor, but I was wondering if anyone knew exactly what they were for?

They are for a bin that goes next to the main hopper. There should be two pins/bars that stick out inside the case. When the bin gets full the tokens contact the two pins and complete the circuit. This will stop/cause an error in the machine. More used in small palors (without token handling systems) or in case the handling system backs up.

Not used for normal home play.

Yes I noticed there can be a bin there and/or a fall-through the bottom (and a hole to refill the hopper from the back of the machine too) but I figured the contacts were used for servicing the machine from the back did not consider that tokens inside the chassis could also trigger it -- Obviously they are not used for home play, but I was just curious - Thanks for letting me know what they are for!
