    Default Hooray! Yes, yes, YES!

Finally, after weeks of messing around with the old computer, then getting a new one, returning that one and slowly getting this one set up, I have finally...FINALLY...gotten the video capture working!

Unbeknownst to me, the old video capture card was bad. Finally today I took it back and got a new one.

When nephew Kyle came by about 1 p.m. and hooked it up for me, we both held our breath when we tried it.

    It worked!!

I have transferred about 35-40 minutes of video of I'm An Angel and Neo PlanetT Pulsar so far today. Next is to learn how to edit the darn things!

Time now for a little nap.

Very good! That's something I haven't had any success doing. Will you be posting the edited down versions?

Putfile.com is very easy Tony. I haven't even set up an account as they allow you unlimited uploads and downloads without the free account. Just make sure your video files are 10megs or less (each) and in the format(s) they accept. You can simply upload off their front page by clicking on browse and point it to where your file is on your computer and there you go !

It will be GREAT seeing your videos !!!

    AAAGGGGHHHHH! HELP...again!

Yesterday evening I was going to upload several videos to PutFile after I edited them, which was going to be a learning experience also.

I load Windows Movie Maker, pick my file to import...and get this message...

...Test.mpg could not be imported. An interface has too many methods to fire events from

and that is it. After I capture a video, even if it's only 30 seconds long, the same error message. I have NO idea what that means, nor can I find any mention of it at Microsoft!

The capture card, ADS, saves video files as WMV just as an Adaptec does, which is what my nephew uses on his computer. He has no problems loading files on his computer.

    Any ideas, y'all?

    From a thread titled..

"Thread: An interface has too many methods to fire events from?"

Yup, an MPEG2 file. See the Importing Source Files... Video... MPEG2 page at www.papajohn.org

It's an issue with not having an appropriate codec for MM2 to work with.

    Thanks for the help.
I had to change a setting in the Ligos MPEG configuration utility.
