    Default Exciting Adventure

Boy, people crawl out of the woodwork with old stuff when you say you might be interested in buying a slot machine....

Here is an interesting one that has been offered to me. It is called Exciting Adventure. It's from 1996. The manufacturer is unknown, but from the general look I'm almost guessing that it's an IGT. That stop button panel just screams it, but I'm also not terribly familiar with the older stuff.

So, anybody know this machine? More importantly, and the reason for my post, what on earth are those handles on the side of the case for? I know a lot of American slots have similar handles, but I don't know what they're for on Am slots either. And thinking of what's inside the case at those points I just have no clue. Any thoughts?

    OMG I feel sooooooo stupid.

The handles are on a file cabinet behind the machine. I honestly couldn't tell that until the guy who took the pic told me. *blush*

    Ok. I'm a looser.

But the other question remains; anybody know this machine?

Hmmm If you load up that last link it is a series of pictures showing some kind of add on cable that is connecting to the spin lever, bet button, power supply, etc. What do you suppose that cable is for? I'm sure the Japanese in the pics tells me, but since it takes me forever to translate I figured I'd just ask.

If you find a bundle of wires with a connector and it's not hooked to anything,

and can't find where it goes it may be for palour use.

I had one on my Golgo13.

    With some translations like these:

    "Coin unnecessary equipment list"

    "Automatic BET functional attachment"

    "Credit Rise method"

Makes me think it is a Credit Add thingy.

Wow. It does sound like a credit add type of deal. It hooks up VERY differently than the types we use. It might be cool to have one that you just plug in here and there instead of having to solder stuff and cut wires.

Most of the no coin necessary devices in japan are plug and play but are specific to manufacturer

Ours are kinda specific to manufacturer too.

I think my problem would be the connectors. I always thought connecters were internationally available, but my local Industrial Electronics (super cool parts store that has almost everything remotely electronics related), cringes in fear whenever I come in because they can never find the appropriate plugs (like the ones that plug in to the stop board). I don't know if they're some kind of specialty item or if they're a Japanese thing or what.
