Any how when I showed my wife the pic of the knob she
made the same comment...she wasn't impressed......

Congratulations on your 25 years, that is awesome. My hubby and I will celebrate 16 years this Sunday. I am assuming that your wife loves Betty...I sure do. TWIST is nice too, but NOTHING like Betty. Maybe I missed it, but the 3 channel is nice because you can do the 2 stereo and sub on many setups.

How is volume range, is the span long or short when turnig the knob. Span is the big problem I have all the time, you just touch the knob and its too load or too low.

You just need really really low value pots to fix the span thing. I was using 10K pots which was next to useless. I'm down to 1K 15 turn pots which is ok in a 'set it and forget it' type deal. But the resistance most of mine are at is around 50-60 ohms. If you could find a nice old 100 ohm pot you'd be set with ranges.

Of course, there is always the joy of parallel resistors with your pots. That can fix up range problems too.

the range is 1/2 of 1 full turn not to bad but still to short
and it's because of the 100 ohms being to high.
50 ohms would be perfect
