    Default Ashtray Options

So, y'all remember when we were talking about Flying J truckstops having pachislos, right?

Well, I happened to be down by the Flying J, so I stopped in to see what kind of overpriced stuff they had. Much to my surprise I saw something very cool. It was a random Hanabi, but instead of the ashtray it had a plastic slab that flips up just like the ashtray and was made to fit the cutout just like the ashtry would. But instead of the depression for the cigs and ashes (ICK!), it had some Japanese writing and a big no smoking symbol.

Talk about cool! I want some! Who knew there where non-smoking pachi parlors?

    Has anyone else seen these?

My Mephisto has a cover like Lucky's picture. Sealed and a small yellow tag on it.

I know here in NY it's illegal to smoke in any public buildings maybe it's starting to go to that in the parlors.

My Thunderzone and Speed Racer both came with the plastic inserts in the ashtrays.
The plus side of these coming from nonsmoking parlors is the lack of tobacco filth on the inside. I am a smoker and even I don't like to tear down a machine and find everything inside have a brownish tinge to it.

This is my personal opinion, or of the voices in my head, and are not meant to reflect the opinion of this board.

They have no smoking days and a higher resale if the ash tray is not all burnt up.
They use loose ash trays on the counter below the machine.

Wow. This post sorta exploded over the weekend. I guess that's what I get for not being on over the weekend.

I didn't realize that it was an insert to the tray already there. I didn't want to actually show any interest in the $300 model at the truckstop, so I didn't look too close.

I just thought they were cool. Neat to see that some of us are getting them.
