Oppsss Ya know it does help if ya set the meter to volts not amps
BLACK = Gnd -5vdc
PINK = +5vdc
WHITE = Trigger +5vdc when s/w is closed
0 vdc when s/w is open

So your sensor is actually working but still doesn't do a soft reset?
Does anyone else's door key actually work to reset the machine?

Yes it's working but machine gives no reaction when activated.
Messing with it just gave me an idea.. since it is not doing anything at this time.
I'll just take my little DPDT Relay Rig and remove the old sensor and pop in
a reed s/w or somthing in my junk drawers and use the LEFT TURN of the KEY
to get more tokens.. since i keep the keys hidden except when I play.

My Babel responds in the same way, as this is going to be a christmas present for my old mum, who wont be able to deal with such complexities, what is the minimum number of coins required to run a machine so you never need to open it up to refill the hopper ? (only got 400 at the mo!)
