    Question Major Help Requested

Hey everyone, here is my delima...

I am interested in the Pachislo slot machines but i am unsure if i can have them in my state... I was 10sec. away from buying one from Stealth Home Amusement, BUT i did not want to regret it later if i broke the law... So does anyone know the laws regarding"Pachislo/Skill Stop" Slot machines in Washington State?... Thanks everyone i hope i do not have to move to another state over a slot machine BUT i love them...

I believe California and Oregon are the only 2 states these machines are outlawed in.

I just got this off of Milt's website:

We believe there is a concern over the legalities of these machines in the States of Colorado, California, Washington, Idaho, Louisiana, North Dakota and Oregon. Until there is a clarification of the laws, we will no longer ship to these States. If a buyer from one of these States can show us a letter from the local authorities in one of these States stating that the buyer can own these machines, we will be happy to remove this restriction.

    http://www.stealthhomeamusement.com/legal.html

It does say that these might not be legal in Washington, i'd suggest either contacting the authorities and asking or looking into the laws regarding these machines.

You're state should have an attorney general website. This is a great place to start. The site for Oklahoma will do all the research on past and present laws reguarding whatever you select.
    Meanwhile, somewhere in Oklahoma.

Hey good luck with that. Let us know...and hopefully you will be able to enjoy this hobby as the rest of us do. If not...maybe Pachinko, I can't imagine there's any questions about them.

Hmmmm well before you break the law you might want to have someone help you understand that law. Whether it is a stupid foolish law or not it unfortunately is still something that could cause you a problem. Best to do the reseach like TULSA says and understand what you read before you act. I think tho Stealth has already indicated they won't sell to you so that will give you a clue what you will find out. I don't believe that Stealth would make a statement like he has on his website unless he had investigated it already.

The major reason why this is happening all over the country is because we all want to make these Pachislos something they aren't : USA Slot Machines. I have to admit that even I wanted originally a bandit arm, auto stop and quarter conversion done to my Pachislos. But as you get further into this hobby you will find that those really aren't needed to enjoy these great machines. So this is what has happened and the idiotic state governments see the potential of these being true gambling slots and thus they are shutting down the sales of them.

    Good Luck.
