Default Sankyo Victory Frame Cyclic Usage conversion

Sankyo Victory Frame Cyclic Usage conversion

This will work on all Sankyo Victory Frames

Open the machine from the frame and rest it on a about 4" tall block, than unlock the two top black locks

Unlock the side black lock and unplug the first three connectors
    white/gray
    white/gray
    yellow/orange & yellow

Shows them unplugged, now open the green transparent back frame

Unplug the three plugs in the picture
    green/red & white
    white/gray
    green/gray

Show the lower part of the machine with the green frame open

Shows what needs to be cut away and replaced with angle plastic (I used the stuff you put on the corners of a wall to protect the corner). I marked with black magic marker to show the pieces.

    Close up of the same

    Closer view

    Up close front view

    Top view of tracks

Top view of tracks at the balls out tube for the reward tray

    Outside view of the track

Inside view low of the track

This machine is American Pinball Action™ (Cyclic Usage), but if you add balls to the reward tray it will pay off as a parlor ready machine.
But you can play it empty and it plays the same as parlor ready.

Hi Arby. Please help me here. :-) I read this over and thought it looked easy. So, I went to work on my Dai Yamato (2003) Victory case pachinko.

Problem is I think it is very different than what you have in the above post.

The 1st thing that stumps me is the ball "gutter" on the bottom of the play field is sealed from behind and the balls drop directly into a black plastic area and come out much lower than the feed tray. What you picture above would work fine for balls won during a FEVER in the trap door. They come out into the blue plastic.

Any Ideas? Here is a picture to help understand.

    Thanks!

    Charlie

at the ball out of the cell in back of the cell board. You need to remove any plastic piece screwed on that routes the ball down, and glue a a piece of plastic ramp across this drop hole and onto the ramp on the back, to route the ball back to the shooters tray.
I think the picture for the star wars conversion shows this really good on the cell picture.

Thanks! I have to work out covering that hole better than I have, I'll study your pics tomorrow.

I came up with my own way to get the balls back to the shooting area.
I'll take pics tomorrow. You will laugh when you see the part involved.

I do have a question now.... with the cyclic in action, I get the 2 red lights on the case that stay on. The back error LED reads 7. I'm guessing the red lights and the 7 means its out of balls to pay out... Is there anyway to stop these red lights?

I won't laugh at anyone trying to do something different, that is how I have learned.

Ok, here is my cyclic mod. 1st off, thanks very much to Arby for the help.

You must do everything as Arby describes above to open the case and fold open the blue ball track part.

Next I didn't want to cut up my machine too much. I wanted to be able to easily return it to normal usage. So I cut only the side of the track where the balls go to the pay put tray. I also cut clearance in the clear plastic piece that collects the balls after they go in the START and extra payout pockets.

I then used a PC slot cover as a bridge. The slot cover must have a nice groove in it. It will act as a perfect track for the balls. I drilled with a very fine drill and used a self tapping screw to attack it to the clear plastic. You have to saw off the small end of the cover so that what is now the ball track, can flow balls off very nice.

Here are pics to clear up the confusion.

Then I took the cell out of the machine and used plastic from a DVD case to block the balls from dropping out and going from the play field to the clear plastic collector in the back. This was the hardest part and I imagine no one can help someone with. Its kind finesse work. I think Arbys picture above is the most help you can get.

Once that was done I put it all back together. When closing the blue plastic, use a long screw driver and flex the PC slot cover up just a litte so the end will go into the cut out made in the blue plastic.

Basicaly the PC slot cover with the groove serves as a nice bridge to carry the balls over to the shooting tray return. Very little cutting, very clean. The only hot glue I used was a tiny little bit on the plastic to keep the balls from dropping below and not into the clear plastic.

Here are videos. They are AVI and no more than 6 megs each.
That is my son Joey helping me in the 1st video. :-)

I have to do the cyclic mod to my Victory frame soon. I don't want to cut too much. Can you chaz70 post the pictures again please? Your links are not good anymore.

    Here's my solution.

    1) I rerouted the balls from pockets behind the playfield. I'm not sure if all Sankyo Victory cells have this kind of clear plastic box which collects the pocket hits.

2). I cut hole to the small plastic at the bottom hole of the playfield. Now all missed and won balls will drop same way to the frame.

    3) I made a small hole and plastic ramp to the frame. The place is in black plastic between "lost balls behind" and "missed hits front". Now all lost balls goes to the "missed hits hole" and to the lower ball tray.
