Default This will void your warranty (reset switch replacement)

Crap, I broke the key off in my reset switch on my JSRhttp://www.pachitalk.com/forums/atta...ntid=472&stc=1
Remove the hopper so you can remove the power supplyhttp://www.pachitalk.com/forums/atta...ntid=473&stc=1
Carefully unplug the wiring and remove the power supplyhttp://www.pachitalk.com/forums/atta...ntid=474&stc=1
With the power supply out and on the kitchen table, unplug the wiring to the switches on the front panel. Makes it easier to get to the reset switch. Oh, try not to spill wine on your wifes table cloth.http://www.pachitalk.com/forums/atta...ntid=476&stc=1
    Remove the old switch and.....http://www.pachitalk.com/forums/atta...ntid=477&stc=1
Check with an ohm meter to see if it is normally open or closed in the normal operating position
    http://www.pachitalk.com/forums/atta...ntid=478&stc=1
Mine was normally closed so I installed the new switch wired normally closed
    http://www.pachitalk.com/forums/atta...ntid=480&stc=1
Reassemble the power supply and plug everything back
    http://www.pachitalk.com/forums/atta...ntid=482&stc=1
Before putting JSR back together, lets take care of another important item. Installing a restraint clamp on the power cord.....shame on you TDC GAMES, this should be standard practice.
    http://www.pachitalk.com/forums/atta...ntid=483&stc=1
Reassemble and plug the wiring back in place. Then it's time for the smoke test
    http://www.pachitalk.com/forums/atta...ntid=484&stc=1
    TADA......success.

Very nice how-to! I may have to do this to my Terminator machine as I never got a reset key.
    and a few others.

I enjoyed your tutorial. I don;t HAVE a reset key although I borrowed a reset key to see how it would fit in my machine (it does but dosen't turn) so I bought a blank from my local hardware store and the dude
had to trim just a 少し ( sukoshi )off the end of the key to match the length. Now all I have to do is make impression. I have watched numerous Youtubes on Key impression etc and have a little grasp of the whats
and hows but as a last resort I have thoght of replacing the lock with a switch however getting at the lock to remove looks to be very combersome and restrictive. I am supplying some photos so that you can see
what I am talking about. I have a Pink Panther machine made by Mizuho. I figured that this key has something to do with setting the odds ; loose or tight not sure.
As you can see, the lock mechanism is encased in a box like affair and I don't know how to gain access to it (hard to get at). Yours looked to be more accessible then mine.

when you replaced the key barrel did you install a simple push button that resets the macine? that would be awesome since I don't have my reset key.

No, I just removed the power supply box so that I could gain access to the lock mechanism then I removed the tumblers and the springs fell out.
This was OK result and I had a blank key that fit the lock and now can turn the lock so that the switch is on or off. That is all I need and it serves
    my purpose.

Thank you for the idea! Do you remember the diameter of your replacement switch?

Such an old thread...hard to tell if anyone from back then will answer. I replaced about 3. I believe the hole was 3/4". Or should I say...I bought a 3/4" switch, and it was just a hair too big...for 2 out of the 3. One fit perfect, one was a round hole that needed to be filed larger to accept the switch, and the final one (Million God) was a square hole that shaved the plastic threads off the edges of the switch as it was forced through the hole.
The hole size is probably metric, If all that is avaliable is fractional... then slight modification may be necessary. Not to worry...it is not rocket science!
