    Angry Rock Bottom Slots

    Hey guys,

I saw a disturbing commercial (infomercial) this morning.

A company called Rock Bottom Slots was selling pachislos for $299 ( I don't know if that included s/h, it didn't say).

First of all the price is a Rip Off, you only get 200 tokens, AND you don't get to choose which machine is sent to you.

I ownestly wanted to reach thru the tv screen and choke the infomercial host !

The infomercial also made it sound like these machines are hard to get and a $1,000 dollars would be a steal.

I only hope no first time buyer sees this crappy infomercial and gets taken for a ride !

Anybody heard of this terrible company ??

Yes we have seen it a few times. They are a rip off. The infomercial is seen from time to time.

Well for $77 you can get your choice from Big Bear! Kind of pointless is how I see these people. Now if we could just get the message out to more people...

    Amen Tulsa !

I was just worried that someone (1st time buyer) may see this infomercial and think there getting a GREAT deal. Because thats the overwhelming sales pitch of the infomercial.

They also said these were slot machines converted to skill stop machines because skill stop is more fun. (Made me very Angry)

    hey guys

i thought id show my disgust towards rock bottom slots and send them an email heres what i sent :-

    hi there

your auction for the slot machine is amazing, can you tell me how do you sleep at night charging £300 for a machine such as this when in fact you can pick them up elsewhere for a hell of alot cheaper plus you get the actual ammount of tokens the casinos originally get.

    SHAME ON YOU

this is what they replied with

    Hi,

    Thanks for your comments.

Firstly, we don't set the price & secondly they sell out of them anyway.

    Thank you.

    Lucas Retail.

LOL could honestly say i doubt very much they do sell out of there machines for as much as they charge.

Nice to know they have good customer service skills to go along with their ability to over-charge people!

Lol i saw it for the first time... That is what first showed me the world of skill stop/pachislo... Then iwent onto ebay to find out what a great deal i would have got by buying it on tv... I almost through up... lol They carge 3x as much and you get half the tokies... lol also i am happy, i got hooked and was about to buy one... i am happy that i saw "Stealth Home Amusement" and that the machine i want was only $170 Shipped... PLUS it had an LCD screen which rock bottom was not showing on their infomercial... BUT Milt will not ship to me because i live in WA state... SAD... But yea i love that host... Not $1000, Or $800, OR EVEN $600... lol It is VERY EXPENSIVE... BTW that price did NOT include shipping... WOW thank god for the internet...

    Wink Re: Rock Bottom Slots

Some good did come out of the Rock Bottom ad. I saw the ad on TV and the machines looked like they would be a lot of fun. But, I would not buy something from a TV ad, don't trust them. I went on the net and found Syscom, and Stealth. I ordered a machine from Syscom. While I was waiting for it to arrive I found this site. I was happy to see that there was positive comment on Syscom. After the machine arrived, I fired it up and it worked perfectly. (Crazy Shaman) A few days later I saw Big Bears ad for 3 machines for $399. I told my wife and she said OK. (What a shock) Anyway, about four days later the three machines arrived. (Neo Planet, Africa King, and Million God) When I opened up the box with Million God in it there was a sticky note on it. It said they found a mark on the front door which they didn't know was there when they sold me the machine. So they sent an extra 500 tokens. What more could you ask for. I'm happy with all the machines. The jury is still out on Million God. After playing it for 4 days I finally got a bonus. Sooooooo, thanks to Rock Bottom Slots I found Pachislo slots, 2 good vendors, Syscom and Big Bear, and a great Pachislo information site. I still like to watch the ad, makes me want to play.

If you live in the UK the same ad is running on "TV Warehouse" channel on Sky. look through the TV guide for times its shown (as Rock Bottom Slots)

BTW... It would be fairly easy to get this ad pulled in the UK as the Japanese machines are as we all know not retrofitted with tokens, though it is stated that they are.

If the ASA (the British TV AD regulator) are informed the ad will be pulled as misleading ! as here ...

    http://www.asa.org.uk/asa/codes/tv_c...dvertising.htm

    The link is ... http://www.asa.org.uk/asa/

If enough people complain the ad will get pulled !!!!!
