Default Sanyo is doing the same thing as Sanko, Cell change out.

Sanyo is doing the same thing as Sanko, Cell change out.
Here is a frame (in Cyclic) showing all the cells that will fit it. They would still fit and work even if the frame were not Cyclic Usage.

I think this is the trend that the makers of Pachinkos is going.

From a company stand point thats good business. Freshen the look of the machine, change upthe style or theme, save money by not investing as much into the whole game. For us, it sucks. Fewer machines available. I have been looking for one to catch my eye, have not really found a pachinko I really wanted yet. Of course money is a factor as well. On the other hand, they may remain higher resale value due to the limited supply.

Now they can buy 200 cases for their parlors and 1000 cells. Mix and match as needed. Pretty good idea for them to be sure. The non-popular models die quickly and are replaced with different cells. A 2 minute swap, vs yanking the entire case, connections, disconnecting it from their ball retrieval system and so on.. Yep, if I owned a parlor, this would be the way I'd go.
    Meanwhile, somewhere in Oklahoma.

No, it might be cheaper in the long run. you just buy the different cells for your machine.
But I guess to get in with your first time, yes the cost would be higher, because of the change abilty.

I wonder what that means for us? The only opportunity we will have for a "new" case is when a parlor shuts down???

A Sankyo White case complete, ready for a cell shipped to my door $575 range,
    Red case less.

You can buy used case on yahoo, but they are missing more than just the cell, you got to buy glass also, some power supply, and connectors.
