    Default Thanks Arby!

I just Americanized my Dragon Monkey using Arby's info, and a little of my own. Added 2 volume controls, and made the machine cyclic. Drilled a 7/8 inch hole just behind the hole where the lost balls drop, then padded the edges with black tape to route the balls. Played for several minutes and didn't lose one ball, and all of them went to the front tray, and a lot less noisy now!! Woo Hoo!!

    Cyclic or semi-cyclic?

Cyclic takes away the need for the rear top payout hopper as well. No payouts when the balls hit any pockets of anykind as all balls would be routed back to your shooter tray.

Semi-cyclic would only feed the lost balls back to the front bottom collection tray. However the rest of the machine and play remains intact. Semi-cyclic is my term since I really don't think we have an official term for it yet. I think I'm going to like this style of play the most myself. I have parlor ready and cyclic and this concept keeps all the elements of game play of the machine and eliminates the need to reach around and retrieve the balls and as you stated and I had hoped it would be much less noisey.

Do you have any pictures you can share of what you did?

You can do a Cyclic that still does all pay off from the top tray. I did it on a CR circuit.
In doing the cyclic cuts you don't block the route for the balls from the reward tray.
You do need to empty balls allot so your shooters tray does not over flow.
You leave the Reward tray and all the wires intacted on back so as you score a pocket win it will pay off.
To me it is a pain in the butz to also have to empty the shooters tray, but some will like it.

The way I did the Mod, the machine still pays the rewards if I want it to. For the moment though I put down the gate that blocks the balls from traveling down the top hopper. If I want to allow pay outs though, all I have to do is put this gate back up, and refill balls in the top hopper.
