    Default Button switch

    Hi,

I've got a 'Jack Pot' machine which has developed a problem. The Max Bet, Center and Right stop buttons have stopped working.

Long story short, much tinkering, unplugging, reseating etc... and narrowed it down to the switch assembly that half screws into the back of the button. This is a component that is made of black plastic that has three prongs that the cable going to the circuit board plugs into.

I've taken this part off of the left button (that works) and switched it with the 'Max Bet' one and this makes the max bet work and 'left stop' stop working so I'm fairly confident that this is the problem.

However, can I find any info on getting these spares......NO.

Can anyone help me out please.

Also, if I do manage to get these parts, I'm not sure how to change the Center and Right button switches as they are located behind the coin mech and I'm blowed if I can see how to get that off to reach them , so any ideas on this would be appreciated too.

    Hoping someone can help.

    Thanks.

    Paul

REALLY REALLY SORRY, just noticed I've put this in the wrong place. This should go in the Pachislo section, can this be moved into the right place?

    UPDATE:

I've managed to get the coin mech off even though the screw heads were shredded up, thank heavens for mole grips , so I can now reach all three stop buttons. I've switched around all the black switches and it is definatley the problem. So I need three of these switches, any ideas were to get them from. I'm in the UK.

Thanks for looking and any advise you may have.

I would check wth Milt at Stealth Home Amusement. He's a member here and will probably be your best avenue for these type of parts. You can PM him here, his user name is Stealth.

I was going to provide his email address but I looked at one of his auctions and didn't see it listed there. So, I'm not sure if he wants that publicly posted or not.

Even with a PM I'm sure you'll get a fast response from Milt.
    Meanwhile, somewhere in Oklahoma.

I've used contact cleaner on sticky buttons or ones not making good contact before and it's worked.

it's also good for cleaning the token slot and tracks.

    Thanks Tulsa and Luckydog.

I've sent a PM to Stealth.

While waiting for a reply, do any of you know if this part is a standard on all machines like microswitches on video games or are they different between models/manufacturers?

Okay, apologies again, I've taken the button assembly apart and on the PCB inside is written MS920. A quick google pointed me to this: http://www.miyama.co.jp/amusement.htm

The button is light sensitive, there is a little bit of plastic inside that when the button is pressed passes between two prongs and breaks a beam. Laymans terms obviously.

Just thought that this may be of help to someone as well.
