    Default Sindbad Adventure questions

I just signed up at this forum today and hoped I could get some help!!! I just got my first machine, Sindbad Adventure, today and hoped to have Milt help me out. He referred me here. First I wanted to know about volume control, I've found the 3 way switch which came on my machine (loud, louder and loudest). Milt thought that the LCD menu controls might give me away of dialing it up or down. Am I stuck needing to modify?? Second I was wondering about setting it to pay out all the time instead of paying into credit. He didn't think so when he had me cash out and put in 4 tokens and listened, then told me he thought the only way was to keep the credits at 50. Third I was wondering what the 2 switches next to the soft reset button are for. I tried seeing if the affected volume but forgot if they were originally switched left or right, when looking at them, before I messed with them?? I've had the hopper coin mechanism get stuck a couple of times (needed to soft reset) and it ran out a couple of times (needed a full reset), is that normal??? Thanks in advance for any response you can give and look forward to using the forum in the future.........

Welcome to the forum and you picked a fine machine to purchase. Yes the Volume controls are exactly that Loud, Louder & Loudest. No Video menu option for volume that I know of. You will have to install cheap easy volume controls. Info all over this site just search. Believe me you dont want it to payout every time and have to keep putting in tokens, and mine doesnt seem to allow it either. Not sure about the 2 switches. You can clean the coin path with a pipecleaner or something so the coins dont stick and cause an error. Emptying the hopper will cause an error that needs a full reset. Mike : )

Welcome and congrats on a great purchase!

Your best option for sound is going to be a mono or stereo L-pad from parts www.partsexpress.com or these http://www.pachislo.com/pachislo/par...il/volume.html

Some users even say cotton balls, but I am not a fan of that.

These are the switches that control what happens after a bonus round. On most machines they are located on the power supply, but on Sinbad Adventure, Beast Sapp, etc. they are on the front door circuit board next to the reset switch. One shuts the machine down after a bonus and requires a reset. The other dumps coins out for all remaining credits after a bonus. These switches are interactive. That is, you can't dump credits unless you have also selected to require a reset.

As far as setting them, I don't remember which way is which, you'll just have to play with them, or search the forum, the topic has been coved before.

The concept of PachiTalk was to bring together anyone and everyone who has a passion for these amazing Japanese creations. Once you stepped through the doors at PachiTalk.com, you become part of the Pachination.
You are no longer Japanese, American, English, Italian, German, etc. (If I missed you I am sorry). You are now considered a Pachinational, put that on an application! We are all one big entity amongst ourselves and our Pachis. Segregation is not our philosophy and the seperating of diffent cultures will not happen, we are one, under the Pachi Flag.

We are the United Nations of Pachiland....

If you got any questions, just post it in the forum for the type machine you got. and we will do our best to help you.

    Hi Everyone..
I, too, am a new member and recently purchased Sinbad from Pachinko Palce in Pompano Beach, FL..about an hour's drive from me. It is my first slot machine and my wife and I are enjoying it. The holograms and animation is out of this world. We have discovered that the sound is absolutely too loud even in the lowest setting. As a stop gap measure we have cut out and taped pieces of carpet to cover the two speakers. It's still loud but bearable. I don't have a degree in electrical engineering so is it possible for an ex-school teacher to install the sound control mentioned?

Also, are all pachislo machines essentially the same, except for the theme on how they pay off? In other words, Sinbad gives you free games about every five tries, you hit the the golden lamps for 10 tokens maybe every ten tries, the three rings maybe once every 200 tries. I almost never get the three bars or a 2 coin payout with the cherries. Do other machines give you more payout possibilities instead of the same basic two almost all the time?

I am looking to buy one more machine that have more payoff possibilities. In Vegas we love to play Wheel of Fortune...could play it for hours and we like that type of bonus round. Is there anything in pachislo that gives more variety?

    I appreciate any suggestions.

    Welcome to the site.

Anyone with a soldering iron can install volume controls. It's very simple and detailed many different places on this board.

Payouts vary by the odds setting you have the machine set to. If you want less small payouts then up the odds a bit. I'm guessing you have it set to 6 at the moment. 1 is hardest and 6 is easiest.

They also vary by the type of machine they are.. Type A, Type B or Type C with variations in between those. Some are referred to as AT or assist time, some are referred to as ST or stock time. So you can have a type A, at or st and so on. These are not simple machines but they can be as simple as the time you care to invest in learning them.

Have fun that's a great machine you have there.
    Meanwhile, somewhere in Oklahoma.

They don't make it easy to install volume controls on the Sinbad Adventure,

I think the easy way is to remove the top board to get at the speaker wires, if you just remove the plastic cups over the speakers you don't have much room to work with.

Spin Luck would be the closest you will come to a "Wheel of Foturne". Unfortunately it is one of the most popular and easily cost $500-$700.

Sindbad Journey is Loud stock !!! but it is easy mod.

Radio Shack has a 50watt wall mount (stereo) speaker volume control- it contains a pcb with two impedance matching transformers.. connections are simple... disconnect the wires from the speakers and connect to the input and run two new wires from the outputs to the speakers... I put my control board in the right cup and poked a hole in the rear of the cup so it has only a small knob protruding on the cup... looks factory.

so when my door is open... the knob is upper left
