I had a great day!

What nice day I had? I went to work. Found out I am allergic to bees. I am a painter, we run into bees all the time on the job. I have been lucky. Stung a few times in the last ten years. A hornet only about a month ago. Now today I get stung and I have a severe Anaphylaxis reaction. I have never itched to bad in my life. I swelled up from head to toe. My boss took me to a near by clinic. Then had a nice ride in an ambulance to the emergency room of a local hospital. It was a fun day! I wish I could do it everyday! Now I have to carry a EPIPEN with me whenever I am out side. The doctor tells me I have to avoid bees!:duh: That bee knew what is was doing. It was called a preemptive strike! I was walking to the spot I seen some bees under a basement window to give them a squirt of Liquid KILL! :rocketwho

In my job I can't leave them alone at times. Other times I can and do. Ever take shutters off of a house that has not been painted for some time? There is usually one if not several behind each one. Shutters you got to love them!

I used to install alarm systems in peoples homes. Try crawling through someone attic they've ignored for the last 50 years.. Wasps and Hornets and Bees are the least of your worries.

Cover your body with tabaco juice and they wont sting you, ad nobody will get close to you. But it works.

I use to work in Kentucky for Orkin as termite inspector and sales, crawled under a lot of houses and agree that there are worse things than bees. Sorry to hear of your reaction Laz. I believe that getting stung a few times can eventually lead to allergies to them, I have heard of that happening to others.

My Foreman and I had to go back to the same house to finish up. He was working on the same side I was when I got stung. He too got stung. He didn't have a bad reaction like I did. He did say it was the worst sting he has ever gotten.

Dont know about tobacco juice, but I have a freind that has been eating fresh garlic for years. It literally comes out his pores now, you can smell him 10 feet away, but he never gets sick, and bugs leave him alone..lol.
