It sure is the first time that I've seen a buyer complain about low prices.
Summer... we told ya... didn't we?

Perhaps dealers are faced with taking some past profit (or projected profit) and using it to cut pricing on some models.
Maybe they are using them as loss-leaders, to get people into the "store", and/or establish a customer base.
Maybe they have more on the way, and need the room?
And of course, maybe they would rather run specials that provide that magic "cashflow" than helps them pay current bills... including wages, rather than lay people off that have families to feed.

Hell, I ain't complaining... if anything, I'm stocking up for Christmas gifts and maybe a few sales!

Hmmm... I should bookmark this thread so that I can point to it when people start to complain about high prices in another 2 or 3 months.

Ya know Ritchie Rich, I am sure that if you pick your favorite vendor, and offer them twice what they are currently asking for a machine, and be firm about it. They will eventually cave in and take more money for it. This way you know your machines are still going for a higher price, and there is no such thing as depreciation, and it doesn't matter that newer fancier models are on the water and on there way.
C'mon RR, this is the real world. This is how business is run, and the last I heard, we still had freedom of choice. So if the low pricing is really hurting your sensibilities then choose not to buy OR go find the machine at the highest price you can and order it. Better yet tell me what one you want (might I suggest picking from Big Bear's 77.7 list) tell me what is the correct price, send it to my paypal acct. and I will make sure you get a good machine for your price.

This is my personal opinion, or of the voices in my head, and are not meant to reflect the opinion of this board.

Enjoy the low prices while you can.

at Christmas you will see all prices going up till after the holidays.

This is all a normal cycle

Glad I didn't comment on this one. It looked like a loaded question, and everyone bit at it!

My pachis were bought just for fun. The low price was a major consideration. If the prices were higher, I probably wouldn't own any. No resale value here, they will fade away in our gamesroom.
