    Default Springtime In Oklahoma

    Springtime In Oklahoma

the above picture is a vortex...although they look like they are forming in one direction, they actually swirl in all different directions ; very strange to see.

You can see in the above picture the finger of the tornado coming down. (two of them actually) You will not always see the tip of the tornado touching the ground..but if you look at the ground, you see the debris from it and know that it has hit the ground.

the above picture is just amazing

You can see a finger of a tornado coming out of this formation above in the very top of the picture

the above picture is of a "wall cloud" when you see one of these, you pretty much know there is tornadic weather somewhere along that line of clouds. These wall clouds can be just a few miles long, or MANY MANY miles long; sometimes stretching across the entire edge of the State

another wall cloud above. notice the "surreal" look in the colors of things on the ground in all of these pictures.....this isnt due to the photography, that is how it is when its tornadic weather. The colours of the trees and grass and sky take on a very odd hue. You get to know this "look" and its indication for bad weather.

I do NOT want to be where those buildings are! This is a huge tornado

    another huge tornado...........so scary! Unreal…

    Not me!

My brother in law and his wife were out there working for the rail road, they drive the lines and the truck read the rails and tell them what has to be done to repair them.

Those pics are amazing! It would be cool to be able to get shots like that, let alone just to see something like that. Of course all of that would have to be from an underground bunker cuz I'm a big scaredy cat! (makes it hard to take pics from underground).

I guess if I was used to it I would go out with the camera, thinking back to when I was stationed in Kansas, we used to go to the rooftops with cameras when the whistle went off.

We have the distinction of being the only place on Earth that has ever recorded a Tornado, 1 mile an hour under the Inconceivable rating of an F6. The one that tore a half-mile wide path across the state from SW to NE reached 318.
