Question Mr. Vampire (?) by Fuji

Apparently this is called Mr Vampire from Fuji?

    http://www.fujimarukun.co.jp/joho/ne.../spec/top.html

It is currently ranked 21st in the top 30 placed pachincos chart (as of a minute ago).

This looks to be one to watch for. Here are the best streamed videos from their site that show what the lcd graphics are (there are a ton more to see there on the website also) :

    http://stream.fujimarukun.co.jp/fuji...ai_gogyo_1.wmv

    http://stream.fujimarukun.co.jp/fujishoji/kyon/spec/sp_100tai_1.wmv

    http://stream.fujimarukun.co.jp/fuji...uinkaiho_1.wmv

    http://stream.fujimarukun.co.jp/fuji...uinkaiho_2.wmv

    http://stream.fujimarukun.co.jp/fuji...kaminari_1.wmv

    http://stream.fujimarukun.co.jp/fuji...y_ekijyo_2.wmv

    http://stream.fujimarukun.co.jp/fujishoji/kyon/spec/r_dosi_reach_1.wmv

    http://stream.fujimarukun.co.jp/fuji...ng_reach_1.wmv

Question : Looking at the pics of the 5 different models, does it look like it is a primarily left side play or does it have some right side play also (it has some nails on the right side from what I can see) ?? There is no doubt that the lcd graphics are fine but I wonder about the playability? Anyway it will be interesting to see how far it climbs the placement chart :

Woah I love this kind of stuff. Looks like a card battle type japanese game. The CGI manga looks stunning, definetly going on me list thanks m8

Theres a picture of the board here http://www.fujimarukun.co.jp/joho/ne.../spec/top.html (if that doesnt work its first option on left and second down)

It shows pins top right going down right as well m8

I love the Mr Vampire films starring the late great Lam Ching Ying and its nice to see that they've created a computer version of the actor. The hopping zombies are one of the great HK cinema creations.

Nice serene setting in the video... Then you have dragons as the characters. Maybe they're friendly dragons like Puff.

The what I think is the long feaver video really is a work of art, beautiful music (and some of it has subtitles in english when she is singing). Reminded me of Final Fantasy X2.

Exclamation Re: Mr. Vampire (?) by Fuji

So how playable is this going to be(is it left side play only?) or is it just a "purty" video ?

I think this pachinko has the most videos representing it I have ever seen on a manufacturers site. Hopefully this is a sign of things to come(lot's of videos).

A point on this left side only topic.

The Star Wars is a left side only machine. However this does not detract from the game play of the unit. What they've done is actually enhance the game play. They've placed an additional start pocket right at the top of the machine, right on the edge of no mans land before the balls falls to oblivion on the right side. So this actually does come into play as you're trying to hit that start pocket.

So don't discount the left side only concept as being a downfall. It's not.

Bunny Girl is a left side play machine too!!!!

But, they is a pocket right next to the left side of the LCD, when the balls go in there they spin around and either drop out the bottom or go to the bottom of LCD screen.

when they get there they spin around more, if they drop thru the right hole they go into the main pocket to start the video.

even the balls that drop out the side pocket still have a chance to bounce into the main pocket.

I posted about it at top Azlew but Ive gone a bit mad since then if u click on the links to pictures instead of the ones on the page it gives a better view and u can definetly see it has right side play as well. Everyone Ive talked to has told me not to worry about "western" style machines as I just wont notice once I start playing it (got to admit I was worried about it as well).

I love the look of this machine and its in my top 5 most wanted now hehe

Not that I've seen and, yes, the title of this machine is Mr. Vampire (Japanese title was Kyonshi) and was based on a fairly old Hong Kong horror movie of the same name.

Pretty good machine; I played it a few times last year.

It seems a shame that we see all of these bautiful pachinko machines and we're stuck at the mercy of whatever makes it over on the boat. We need someone in Japan who can hunt down requests for us.
