Click on machine name for details (in Japanese); top center right (under FORUM heading) shows number of parlors with machine: example: CR Ocean Story M56 had （7236店舗）=7236 installations on August 2, 2005. Segregated by specific model; CR Ocean Story M2 (links to alternate models of same machine at bottom left of machine page) had 749 installs on same date. On machine page, note graph at lower center left which shows installs by month. Declining graph=(I imagine) machines for Pachitalk readers soon!

Very nice link.

It seems odd to me that several models that seem common and undesirable here are still hot over there. The local Sam's clubs seem to have a hard time moving the GoGo Juggler Series. And it seems like you can't give away a Gold-X these days

There's something about the Rio machine I find appealling, but I'm not sure what it is

Very interesting. With the exception of the Sea Story machine (which must be hugely popular - glad I got one thanks to Rupan ), we don't have much access to any of the top machines. I wonder what the vendors would think if they knew we were paying big $$$ for machines that are long since forgotten or never really did very well in Japan.

That is Evangelion, it was just released fairly recently, what you're seeing is a poor and incomplete translation.
