The reels on the machine MrG linked to are unusual, to say the least.
Bet that would be a booger to eye-shoot, not that I could anyway.

Temporarily, go to youtube.com and search for BudgeRahe for videos. Until I get the links set up in the museum

I like to use the "New Red Pulsar" model because they are pretty cheap and have nice music that goes along with almost any theme. Also I don't like having to replace the glass in front of the reels so it is good to pick something that has generic looking reel glass so it fits well.

Different brands of machine will have different size belly glass and reel size. Also every machine has a different order of the symbols so you have to figure out what they are and make sure your custom ones follow the same pattern so the payouts work correctly.

It is sort of hard on the eyes to tell the difference between one symbol and another at a glance. That is why I created the circle backgrounds that are different colors so they are more distinguished from each other even though they have the same look.

Kind of funny that this shows up on ebay right after I sold a couple on ebay.

I'm going to pick up about a dozen machines, I have a serous pachi bug now. I hope to customize quite a few for friends and family. Those customs I see on ebay are awful. Not the scooby at the top of the thread, but the other ones.

You can tell someone does not know what they are doing as far as the print goes. You did a great job on the backlit graphics dapperdan. If I may ask, you can PM me if you need to, but what machines and vinyl are you using?

I have thought of doing a flintstones one. A Jetsons ones would be pretty coolalso.

AkaReaper. I use the "New Red Pulsar Model"

You can usually find them cheaper though on ebay.

I use an epson 2200 inkjet printer (which has since been replaced by the Epson Stylus Photo R2400). It allows you to use roll paper which is nice when printing the reels since they are about 30 inches long. As for as backlight film I get it at
http://www.inkjetart.com/photo_papers/backlight.html and when I print, I tell it to lay down more ink so the colors are more deep.

The tricky part of making a custom is getting good graphics so you have sharp lines. A lot of customs you see on ebay people just take graphics they find off the web which are not that sharp when you blow them up. The key is to use a vector based graphics program like Adobe Illustrator or Corel Draw.

LOL, ok, we may become very good friends. I own an Encad 600, 60 inch, yes 60 inch wide printer that does it all. I just sold a print shop, kept some toys and I usually used lexjet.com, beacongraphics.com and ameriban.com for my goods. My graphic library contains about 1.5 million various images.

I would like to do a Hong Kong Fooey!

Rock N' Roll is always a good theme.
It's taken me months to design, but I think I've come up with a winner here.
It's a Beatles theme, for their White Album.

Now, if I can just find me some white ink, I'll be all set!!!

Well if you're going to do a White album theme, you need to set the replay symbols as Manson.
