I'm starting to see how cyclic could be a very good thing. I just got my first lcd pachinko and there's so much on the screen to watch I don't want to miss any thing trying to keep all the balls in the right place.

Cyclic is great, you only need about 50 balls.

If you put an auto play button on you can either shoot balls or press the button to bank 4 spins.

I will shoot balls for awhile on my Bunny Girl then go to auto play.

During the jackpot rounds I shoot the balls, it adds to the excitement getting them in the jackpot pocket.

You don't miss any videos because of no ball handling.

Lucky I agree with your style. Since getting that auto play button, it's added a new crease to the game play. If we're referring to the same thing. That little mod that Arby does. This acutally gives us a third style of play. On a parlor ready machine, when you press the auto-play button it will give you the number of balls you would typically get for a start pocket hit as well.

We are Americanizing them to our enjoyment. This allows us the choice of enjoyment of to play with our balls or not.

I have now fitted all my machines with ball lifters and auto-play buttons. Like the auto play buttons, as I use that when the play tray is empty to replenish the play balls. This way, with ball lifters, there is no need to go to the back and retrieve play balls. Totally automated, in a way. :-) The auto play button is a quick 5 minute job. Just use a N.C. momentary push button switch. Every machhine I have, it gets wired in line with a neon yellow colored wire in back of the machine. All the manufacturers seem to have used this same wire color coding for the signal wires to the start hole.

The information on how to do this is shown here:
    http://www.pachitalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5279

When I posted that, I had asked that others contribute to the thread by showing a pic of where their sensor plugs / wires are located. With no response, I just figured nobody was giving it a shot. It would be nice to see where these plugs / wires are located on other machines.

The start pocket is only one of the places to put a button. If anyone is just looking to dispense balls and not spin reels... some other sensors are good for that.

Now if you could wire up one of those useless buttons on the front of the pachinko for this purpose. One set to spin the reels and the other set to dispense from the payout hopper, 12 or 15 balls or whatever comes from the highest payout pocket sensor, this would be most intriguing.

So whats this "method" of yours then Tulsa for filling manually the best way as I cant seem to find it anywhere?

I cant see myself playing with cyclic when I get my first machine to me I think that would take the fun out of it. Im trying to work best methods out (seeing as Ive never played one before) but I fancy a tray counted out (or use a certain width dish etc.. so I get the general amount each start of new game) with my starting amount then fill top up and use ones I loose from back to top up and when feaver starts just keep topping up (if Im following all the information right on how machines work). That way the game will end eventually when I run out of balls and I will just start a new game with "my start" dish over.

I might have a bit of problems keeping up at first (can only afford total of 1500 with first machine) as being disabled I cant stand so good so its going to be on a table for easy reach around back and probably be on a high stool so can reach top easy enough.

The one-handed method works like this.

    1. Have a tray to hold your balls you're getting ready to play underneath the front bowls. Call it the center tray.
    2. Have a smaller tray or bowl as I use and fill about half way with balls, place it to the left side.
    3. Fill the rear top pay hopper
    4. Empty the rear catch tray
    5. Begin to play
    6. As balls are shot, fill the play bowl with balls from the tray beneath them.
    7. as you win balls and the top hopper is emptying, fill with the smaller bowl on the left.
    8. Refill the smaller bowl from the balls in the center tray.

This method will allow you to continue to shoot without taking your hand off the shooter knob as you move balls though the system.

The only time you'll be foreced to stop shooting is when you recapture the balls from the rear bottom tray. You want to stop shooting here so when you pull the tray balls dont' go flying everywhere. If you keep this emptied regularly when you hit a fever round you should not have to mess with this tray as you should have enough balls to play through it.

logicprobe. I have not had time for the picks. I found the yellow neon for the start pocket but could not locate the others. Will try when I have more time. And I fix what I messed up on my machine.

I am feeling that Cyclic may be the way to go also finally. Altho I have only one modern pachinko, I am hoping my next one will be Cyclic.

The one thing I have been waiting for is to see whether or not Arby could get a counter that would show the winnings somehow on a Cyclic but I am thinking now that that really isn't important. I don't count my winnings now as it is and it really would be a hassle to try to. So what's the big deal with having a counter anyway? Yes it would be nice but not totally needed.

I am sure tho that the ball sellers on Ebay will still try to push parlor ready pachinkos
