    Question Club Rodeo Buzz

I own a Club Rodeo that buzzes pretty loud when it’s just sitting inactive. It concerns me because my only other Pachislo (Sinbad Adventure) is dead quiet. There also seems to be some fluctuating static like sounds coming from the speakers. I was wondering if this was normal. Do any other Club Rodeo owners have the same experience? Does it have to do with the fact that it was a 24 Volt machine? I bought it from Stealth, so it has a 6 amp transformer.

check the transformer when it starts buzzing or after playing awhile, it should be warm, but not real hot.

you could have a faulty transformer.

If the buzzing is coming from your speakers it may be amp. or wiring problem.

This is known as the sammy buzz and is "Normal" for a Sammy/Rodeo machine. If you put a volume control on it then it seems to quiet it down a bit. My theory is that it has to do with AC noise on the line, but it's just a theory.

I should have been more specific. It is the power supply that is buzzing.

If it was coming from the speakers I would agree with Jakester about transformer line noise but if the power supply is buzzing I don't honestly know. My power supplies get warm but most stay quiet.
