    Question Circulation Processed?

In Arbycoffee's Star Wars Pachinko eBay auction, he mentions that it is "Circulation Processed". Could Arbycoffee or anybody else explain what it is and what process is involved? Thanks!

you only need 100 balls to play.

played balls return to the front tray to be shot again

the machine is set so that it doesn't pay out any balls.

    It's called cyclic.

it saves filling top payout tray and emptying bottom played ball tray.

you can concetrate more on the game play and videos.

On the mondern machines, does a winning ball physically trigger a payout (mechanically) or does it pass thru a sensor? On the payout mechanism, are they triggered with solenoids? I would think a couple of simple counters connected to the solenoid lines would count the number of times each fired. Just have to mutiply the count by the number of balls normally dispensed by each solenoid.

The solenoids are normaly closed, when the ball goes thru, it opens the circuit each time a ball passes thru it

Is it less fun to play a cyclic game? Almost sounds like the new AC slots that don't payout coins -- something seems to be missing from the experience...Is it different with Pachinko? Thanks!

No I find it better than the old way.

    Here is why:

Cyclic Usage is a way the Japanese play the machine in their homes.

Usually, you have to*put the balls in the front tray so that you can shoot the balls on to the play field. After using all the balls in the front tray, you have to pick up the balls from the back tray and put them in to the front tray so that you can shoot the balls again.*And when winning refill the top tray with balls for the payoff (Bonus payoff 2,000 + balls, the machine’s top hopper will not hold near that many).

Machine with cyclic usage allows you to cut out the task of all the refilling trays. Since the balls will come out from the back tray to the front tray automatically. The back has been changed to reroute all the balls back into the shooting tray.

It means you can play the game forever since the balls in the front tray won’t be lost! If you put 50 to 100 balls in the front tray, that will be enough balls to play the game.

Keep in mind, there will NOT be any payoffs of balls, the machine will go into all the payoff rounds with all the light and sounds. Full video action, Full video bonus rounds.

Instead of 2,000 balls and extra trays, 100 ball and you are good to go.

The only way for the balls to jam up in a Cyclic Usage machine is:
    1-They were not done correctly
2-There was Dirt in the track
    3-Track on cell broken

On Parlor Ready machines ball jams:
1-There was Dirt in the track
    2-Track on cell broken
    3-Ball counter not working right
    4-loose wire to ball counter
    5-loose wire from sensor

So a Parlor Ready machine has more problems then a converted one.

When converted to cyclic, does that mean you lose some of the video sequences on the LCD ?

No, you will need to match up three of something to go into the other video sequences. So keep putting the balls in the center pocket or start pocket.

The machine plays exactly the same. The only difference is when you hit a pocket that pays out, it does not really pay out as all the balls are recycled into the shooting tray.

Unless you are extremely quick and can somehow capture the balls being won, which dump into the shooting tray, you really won't see any difference. The balls which generally fall to the bottom that don't pay are the ones that end up in the back. These too are simply routed to the payout tray as well. So you only need a couple of hundered at any given time as they all recycle.

The bonus rounds are still the same though.

On a Parlor Ready machine you will need to spend another $150+ on balls and $175 on a ball lifter for it, to cut out some of the ball refilling.

I get how you redirect the balls to the front but how do you keep it from thinking there are no balls to pay out and going into error mode?

Well since Arby isn't wanting to just give it away. Here's a hint. Take your thought on this, stand in front of a mirror and reverse it.
