they sell umpainted wooden plaques in the crafts dept.

they are rectangular and look nicer than just a 1 by 4.

, I bought 2 and used them for the feet on one of my machine.

Now it appears that Slotusa is using the same stock photo for Monkey King and Dragon Monkey.

Where do they get these wild names for the same game? Very confusing, at the least.

    Bilko,
They were selling a dragon monkey, and accidentally called it a monkey king. I'm the one that won it. I had to call slot-usa after they sent the confirmation e-mail, but they made the changes at the warehouse, and my dragon monkey showed up 4 days later looking flawless. They even included the key that was not listed on the auction because I told them I was going to wall mount the unit and needed it for access. The ball holder was not in the best of shape..but when I finish the mods, the ball holder will be shoebox sized anyway.

Hello, I just wanted to follow-up after receiving my first pachinko (Thunderbirds) fron an ebay auction through TA.

Shipping - Auction ended monday, machine arrived friday well packed and without shipper (fedex) induced damage.

Company - Replied to my e-mails quickly and courteously and provided tracking info promptly.

Machine - Well, as my first pachinko I can't directly compare it with any previous experiences. Overall condition seems very good. The ball feed tray seems to have gotten scraped up (about 4 in.) between the big red button on the left and the ball release slide latch on the right. Someone previously put a little clear coat over it. Well, I hit it with 600 grit wet sandpaper followed by Novus2 and the friends will never know! Also a few scrapes/scratches here and there, not horrible. This machine seems to have seen alot of action, the pins show alot of wear. The playfield cleaned up well with more Novus2 (good stuff), but again, some scratches on the payoff packets (metalic red). I guess there is a difference between a dirty machine and a "not meticulosly polished" machine so all-in-all I can't complain. Two, maybe bulbs out on front door otherwise machine functions perfect. I wonder how many millions of balls have been run through this thing? With that in mind I have to be realistic, for a used machine all the way from Japan it's about an 8/10. Obviously each individual machine will vary but I'm happy with my first try. Thanks TA!

Just thought I'd add... received my second machine from TA (Yellow Cab), and while not quite as clean as the Sakura I'd received before, it's in great shape, and again was delivered a day before I expected. I'd have no problem recommending these folks to anyone...

    tMartin, also good news!
Bet you both like your machines. Hope you like 'em half as much as I do mine!

Tony J, I gotta admit...I love this stuff! Wish I'd of known about it 10 years ago. It amazes me that considering the complexity and electronic sophistication of these devices, we can have them in our homes (and at actually reasonable prices). Super cool hobby that allows you to collect fascinating objects that are fun to just look at but even more fun to play. Great collection you got going on! Best wishes.
