I have 29 machines in a 720 square foot mobile home.

That comes up to one machine for every 25 square feet

I'm new here (I thought I was going to be the old man of the group (43) as my first computer was Apple IIe, If you had TI's C64's and Osborne I, you can't be much younger than me.
Welcome Mitch, and you're not even close to being the old man of the group. You might be in the top 50% but that's a close as you're going to get to that title.
    Meanwhile, somewhere in Oklahoma.

Thanks for the welcome messages everyone, I'm glad to be here, but I have a sneaking feeling that this site may prove dangerous to my will power. On the upside I had family gathering yesterday and turned my three machines on, boy did the kids go crazy. What fun!

Also thanks johntofva, that was the perfect link.

I'm 26, and I had a C64 w/ disk drive too! More like my dad had it, but I played all the games like Boulder Dash, Spellicopter, and some others, but those are the 2 I remember.

Anyways, bringing the thread back on topic... I just talked and talked and talked about Pachinko machines for about 3 weeks. Then I showed them to her on ebay, and she thought they were cool. Once we got the Apollo, she quickly said I could get 1 or 2 more, and that SHE wanted one with an LCD screen. Problem solved.

Since she appears to respond well to the Jedi mind trick now would be a good time to show her the Star Wars pachinko...

She has seen it, and wants it. However, the mind trick only works on items less than $500. Plus, I'm trying to finish my music studio. I may not be able to have the Force with me anytime soon.

Actually this thread turned quite Interesting. holy Crap LuckyDog, most Impressive. I know alot of people that would be asking for your autograph at the Classic Game Shows i go to. As for springing toys on a Spouse, Just dont have a spouse and have all the toys you want to. If you get Lonely Play with the Toys. Mike : )

I am not smart enough to keep up with lies. So I just stick to the truth. Besides it's not a matter of springing them on her. It is where am I going to put them.

You might consider a sprinkler system... or maybe

TRS-80's were great! I had the tape too! I was young (probably around 8-10), but I could do the simple programing. Besides the books pretty much told you what to type.

As far as the original topic goes.....I have learned (within the last year) anything over $50 I should probably run past momma or at least let her know. So many toys have amazingly cost $50 or less.

Pachislo and Pachinko's have been an issue simply because of size not cost. I think though I have talked her into one more of each.
