If you use the auto-stop feature on this type A machine you will eliminate your ability to avoid a jac-in game during the bonus rounds and ultimately reduce your scoring potential. Also if your required to press certain sequences of the reels to achieve a particular outcome during regular play, you will inhibit yourself there as well.

I don't like to make any modification to my pachislos that alter the game play as it was originally designed. I'll add volume controls and an instant credit feature would be something I'd consider, auto-stop is not how these were designed to play and will limit you overall.

No, it is not an amercian slot machine, it is Japanese and proud of it.

Every Auto-stop I've ever seen can be switched off with a press of a button. I primarily add them in my machines for the credit add feature, but on some of the fairly basic machines, the autostop is not too bad. When the machine gets "in the mood" I shut it off to eye-shoot it into the bonus round. I always play the bonus round with the auto-stop turned off.

I don't care what's authentic, or how Japanese law forced it to be made, I buy these machines because they're fun, and things that make them more fun to me are an improvement in my book!

I feel the best credit-add support comes from Vince (Autoslot)

Not all auto-stops can be turned off. Some simply have to be removed. The only auto-credit ones I know of are the auto-slot unit and Rob's chip from pachislousa but he's retired now. So, I'd say that Vince wins by default!

Now his is also an auto-stop, but you can turn that one off.

I don't know of any that are auto-credit only. I'm keeping my fingers crossed though.

In the long run anything you add on to a Pachislo will take away it being authentic and thus for a true collector it becomes of less value. The thing here is most new Pachislo owners could care less about the collectibility and want to americanize their new Pachislos as fast as they can. Do what you think is best for your own situation. You are the only person that can decide.

True, but remember - with Vince's autostop cable, it is a mere matter of disconnecting the cable and putting the original ends back together. A 30 second job...

The auto stop is a waste of time and money. I put them on all my machines that I can. Why?!! Because you can't at this time get just the credit add modification without the auto stop part of it.

With Rob's chips that you did yourself you could hook up just the credit mod part of it.

Vince's chips on the do it yourself I believe you could hook up just the credit mod part because you are soldering the wires on the reel stop board yourself and can elect to just not solder some of the auto stop wires. Although you mite as well do it all because it is only I think two extra wires and its on there then if you sell the machine.

If you get the auto stop cables from Vince at auto stop then you don't have a choose. You get both right away and you just keep the auto stop turned off. It is the credit mod you want.

50 credits at a press of a button. Less opening the machine to get more tokens out and you can keep less tokens in each machine. I find 500 tokens in each is sufficient, compared to needing about 1000 tokens without a credit mod.

If you have a descent amount of machines that can add up in token savings. If you are handy with a soldering iron I would use the do it yourself kits for the machines you can and save some money. On some machines you don't have a choose and need to get the more expensive cabals. But this at least lets you now do almost all machines.

Before with Rob's chips you were limited as to what machines you could put them on (Thanks Vince if you read this).

I do not like the added expense of the cables but all my machines will eventually have them on. That will tell you how much I value the credit mod for my machines.

If you solder your own chip to the reel stop board you can pm me with any questions you have. Rob used some of my installation tips and pictures. Laz.

I agree Lucky. This would be like buying a sports car and then putting an automatic in it instead of a 5 or 6 speed shift.

If you want an American slot then buy one. Don't even pretend that that Pachislo you just bought is a Slot Machine from that came from any casino(I know that that is how they are being sold on Ebay with some sellers claiming they are also sending you Gold tokens !!).Too many people that get into this hobby(I know because I was one also that wanted to americanize my first pachislo) think that these are genuine fullsize casino slot machines that have been converted to accept tokens. So they want them to accept quarters, have autostops and auto credits, bill acceptors and bandit arms and have a genuine american belly glass that says coca cola. Face it : These are genuine fullsize Pachislos or Pachi-Slots from Japanese parlors in Japan and they have always been made to run on tokens(and they aren't real Gold tokens:lmao: ).

Yep, auto-stopped my first pachislo. Paid that scam artist $79 for it. A small circuit board with three leads that plugged in-between the buttons and their connections. You could not turn it off but you could remove it. I stopped short of converting it to quarters. Thankfully I put a calculator to it before I did that one.
