    Default Jackpot topper light

I found this topper light and would like to rewire my machine. Here is a pic. I’m running into trouble already. Here is a pic. Does anyone know about this type of lamp and port (4 holes, 2 pins). I’m about to open it up to try and see what the voltage is. Please and thanks!

most pachi add ons are 24vac. but thats with multi pins (2 for power and 2 or more for signal) See what the bulb is rated at and start lower from there.

I found this bulb inside. I am still trying to find out what voltage it is.

OK. sure. so its a straight connection to the bulb. Would probably be fine running off a 9v battary vintage machine.

Nothing wrong in asking and making sure. Too many tales of people making assumptions to be followed by a loud bang and tears of sorrow.

Crap there was almost a river of tears when I decided to connect a single diode instead of the 6.3v bulb (that didn’t work), connecting it to a 9v battery FORGETTING IT WAS A 12V DIODE. As I reconnected my other LED lights to a different (and appropriate source), the battery was quietly heating up. In angelic intervention, I decided to disconnect the battery, singeing my fingers on the hot potato. Only then did I realize my error. Thank God, before I had to cry a river.
