    Default 2006 Kyoraku Ultraman

I picked up a 2006 Kyoraku Ultraman today.
Looks like every time I power it on there is a maximum volume alarm for about 30 seconds, but the only message on the screen just says the power is being restored. After the alarm stops you can play normally and everything works well.
Is this an actual error, and if so, what might it be? I filled the hopper and the game plays well. Or is this just an extremely annoying part of the startup test?

I believe this is a common "feature" of Kyoraku pachinkos!!

That feature sucks. I can't turn this on without my neighbors calling the cops, and they're not even close to me. It's like setting off a car alarm.

I'm going to have to install a dual pot and cut the sound way down to turn it on. The speaker configuration in this is wonky that will take a bit of investigation.

Someone with a little knowlege would install a time delay relay that would disconnect the speakers for the first minute upon power up. Depends on how many speakers and if shared ground.

It's an interesting idea, but once I get this mounted in a frame it won't be too difficult to cut it off manually. I use pots with 1 5/8" shafts and mount them on the top left of the frame pointing up with a cap on the end. That way it is easy to play with the right hand and adjust the volume with the left if need be.
