Default Single Shot with shooter tray

I pick this up a couple of weeks ago, it was fairly cheap, for $30. Thought it would be a good project, even though some parts needed repaired. The shooter tray was broken, as was the ashtray. A corner was broken off of it. There were some major cigarette burns in the plastic. But, all the parts were there for it to operate, it will just be a matter of fixing the broken pieces.

I do have it torn down and repairing the shooter tray and ashtray. I'm using a 2 part epoxy paste, (PC-7), for the first time and I think I like this product.
I'm also working on refinishing the door and frame. The door that the shooter tray is attached to is clear, well kind of a brownish tint, and after cleaning and polishing it, I don't think I like it. It just has a dirty look to it. I will probably paint it and leave a couple of viewing windows for the jackpot and winning ball case.

All the playfield pieces are removed and getting them cleaned, repainted and polished.
The clear faceplates for the lock area and over the payout tray have colored graphics under them and are fairly faded. So, I'll need to make some new ones.

Here are some pictures of where I'm at. Fixed the cigarette burns in the plastic and painted it, repaired the shooter tray and ashtray, both got painted.
Also painted the door for the shooter tray, leaving two viewing windows.

The front door is refinished and starting to put it back together. The chrome frame cleaned up fairly well.

I made some new inserts for the lock cover and above the payout tray. The new ones are not an exact match to the originals, but I think they will be alright.

Everything got cleaned up and the for the front door to be put back together.

Next, I will be trying to come up with a playfield design. Normally, I try to design the playfield to go with the theme of the center feature. But, this center feature has no theme.

Being that the center feature has no theme, I'm thinking I need to design a playfield that the center feature can become part of.
I don't know, guess I'll have to sleep on it.

So, I slept on it and I'm thinking the center feature looks like it could be part of jukebox. So, that's theme I went with, for the center feature.

Now that I have a themed center feature, (a jukebox), for the theme of the playfield, I decided on a '50's diner theme.

I named it Pachinko Diner and you might recognize the roller skating waitress and her dog.

I don't know, but I think the playfield design and center feature all work.

    What do you think?

Yep, nailed it! I really like the way you modified things so the center attraction is a jukebox.

It's all put back together. All the rear pieces are cleaned and put back on and adjusted. Working like new.

I didn't get to crazy with the lights. I did change the bulbs to LEDs. and added a color changing LED to the center feature, that is always ON.

Made a video of the machine gameplay and to show the color changing center feature.

Nothing to exciting, but here it is.
