    Default Curious About Data Counters

So I've got 3 fever pachinkos (Indiana Jones, Robocop, Star Wars) and 3 pachislots (Samurai Spirits Swordsmen Match, Lord of the Rings, and Fever Queen I).

I'm at the point where I'm interested in trying out data counters, but I'm not sure what models to look at. I want something that will be compatible with what I’ve got, that is feature rich enough to be interesting, and that is accessible to an English speaker. I'd also like to get a model that can be easily found in the event I like it and want more of them. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

hmmmm. data counters come in all shapes and sizes. But pretty much all have the same function of storing start pocket hits and fevers won. With additional lighting during said fevers. Some like the Daiichi require a connector board between the machine and the counter. You have to make sure you get the right board or they don't communicate correctly. I use the Asahi/one brand Miinagraph ones. As the ones for pachinko and pachislo share the same casing. Although networking the lighting is slightly harder as it requires additional hardware. But if your not syncing them no problem. Main problem you might have is sourcing the correct plugs that will go into your machine.

If I was buying. I'd probably buy a bulk lot of 5 from Japan.

And by right board he means for Pachinko, not Pachislo.

What do you mean by syncing them? I've seen this mentioned but I don't really understand what this feature is. Is it useful for home play at all?

Linking usually means that if one machine goes into bonus, all the counters will flash to show other players that someone is winning.

Pressing the attendant button usually only lights up your counter and the end of aisle light. I suppose the fancier ones also would send some signal to the attendants remotely.

I mean an attentive member of staff would see the light show and be ready with a tray. Not wait for the call lamp. Well that and ootari will set the end of aside lamp flashing anyway. Well mine do

I ended up buying a pair of BigWooz battle counters to try with my Indiana Jones and Star Wars. Since they are both in Lumina frames I figured it would look cleanest if they had the same battle counter.
I'll post an update when I've got them in the mail and can get them working.

Only minor issue on the lumina is getting connectors that plug in. From memory it's 3,4 and 5 but just do a quick search for lumina or star wars counter and I'm sure it Will come up.

So I got the battle counters and instead of the multiple smaller connectors I was expecting they are like this - one six pin connector and another loose wire, in addition to the power connectors.

Is this right, did they send me pachislo battle counters, or is this just something I need to adapt for the pachinkos?

Pachislo normally have 6 or 8 pin connectors. Can you take a pic of the display

Normally one for a slo will have RB and BB on it and not スタート
Although some share screens. Would have to check out Asahi One website for more info. But a tad busy at the moment.
According to this. If the model number ends in a S its the slo version.

Thank you. I looked through this and I went over my unit with google translate and I don't see a model number anywhere, so I'm still at a bit of a loss. Both of them seem to have a bunch of wires that have been cut.
