    Default Manufacturer and date

I came across this gem before Christmas and have managed to clean and restore it to working condition. I am just waiting on a replacement wiring kit.

I am confused as to who the manufacturer is. It has Diana on an attraction, but the covering on the back looks like Sankyo. The labels are too worn to see dates.

I am also missing the jackpot cover and would love a replacement if someone could direct me.

Here are some pics. The cover under the ball returns on the front was olive green. I sanded back to steel for color since the green was a lost cause. It does also have a “bottle cap” that I haven’t returned to the front left corner yet.

Lastly, my husband is looking for threads on cabinet plans.

    Any input is appreciated.

I'm thinking it would be a mid to late 70's machine.

A lot of the time, the date is on the green sticker and I can make out what looks like a 53. So, add 25 and get 78. 78 would be the expiration date, so I would guess it is a 1977 Sankyo.

I'm working on a center cover drawing for these early Sankyos after you inquired.
I have a first version done, and since it takes 12 hours to print, I'll create one tonight to test

    SankyoEarlyCenterCover.jpg

I'll see about the low ball light lens next

I've created models for center covers before, and they were ok. Well, I printed this using a new brand of filament and finally got the kind of translucency I have been looking for. The part fits perfectly and is a nice pachinko type color.

The low ball light lens is next.

The center covers are held in place by a metal SANKYO nameplate and 2 screws. With no center cover, I guessed you had no nameplate so I made one of those too.

So funny! I was taking stock of all my parts and saw the place where that goes…I thought for a sec I lost something! Never there. That is fantastic. I just rewired the back for lights using a nine volt and leaving making it a 2 light loop for A jackpot with no ball empty light. The lights are pitifully dim. What do you use for an adapter? Thanks so much on all fronts!

A good power supply for vintages are the "wall wart" transformers used for many LED light strips. They are 12V DC and usually with modest power outputs like 1 - 2A.

I never throw the external transformers for anything away unless they are confirmed dead. Kids toys, small appliances like electric bottle openers, etc. are good sources for vintage Pachinko power supplies.

And of course there is always Amazon

I gave away the machine that had the correct low ball light lens to a friend at Xmas.

I am supposed to see him today to borrow the part for a couple days to copy it
