Smaslot at home
Now that the smaslots (smart pachislo) have gone down in price and are now viable home purchases: Does anyone here have one set up at home yet?
From what I can tell the smaslot unit simply bypasses the credit system altogether and there is no way to keep track of credits used vs credits won short of hooking up a data counter (which requires a more expensive solution to let you play for some reason as the default smaslot home units do not let you connect a data counter anymore from what I can tell).
I have the same issue with coinless machines in that to me a good part of the fun is running out of tokens to put into the machine, and filling up the tray with winnings. I know I'm not actually winning anything real since it's all my tokens anyway, but it's a big part of the experience anyway.
With smaslot it seems that the only indicator of a big win is the final tally at the end of a bonus. Is that enough to make it fun? There are some nice looking smart pachislos out there but I'm very hesitant due to the whole no coin/no credit thing.
Can anyone share their home experience with one of these units?
